I've had plenty of people tell me that they would "for sure" have the money to buy something, and request my paypal info, then they back out of the sale. So if I have more than one person interested, first to pay gets it.

So i'm kinda new here and met some good people and had some great purchases. But i recently had my first bad experience, i purcahsed a set of steeda BILLET deletes according to seller Fast 3V and when they arrives they where just the cast ones. I'm new to these cars and didn't know the difference till i saw them when they arrives and saw they aren't shiney like billet (think anyone knows that lol). I had even asked him in a PM if they where the economy or BILLET and he said BILLET. He even had me outbid anothe member. I was very disappointed when they arrived, so i emailed him, he said i don't know what you are talking about, plus took 2 weeks to arrive. I emailed him and gave him an opportunity to just refund me a few dollars since they weren't what i asked for and NO reply so i'm not happy. Don't like receiving less than i agreed on.

Im not sure what you paid $ wise but i did see he wanted 100. For that price it shouldnt matter whether they were billet or economy.

That's not the point. The point is that you paid for one thing and received something different.

I agree Jewc75, and $100.00 wasn't the story, he made me outbid another member at $120.00, but not why i'm bothered. Don't tell me in a PM they are billet when they aren't

+1. You cant fault the guy for selling to someone who pays first. Way to many flakes who swear they are gonna buy, then you never hear from them again.

Thank you AbdullaGT, my surprise when i open the box and they are cast, with the FoMoCo stamp on them and he made me outbid someone to $120.00. found out After that's a nono on here.

Not sure, I would doubt it though. If they are homemade you will be able to tell . Post some pics , someone here can tell you what you really have .

That is what sets the ethical people apart. I have sold quite a few items where I listed OBO on the title, and had a member make an offer that I accepted, only to have someone minutes later PM me with a higher offer. I have not once backed out of a deal, regardless of being able to make a couple more bucks off someone else.

I hate to say it, but knowing the guys conduct beforehand with his statement to you, you can't be too surprised to have not gotten what you were promised.

I can't fault the guys who operate on the first come first serve basis. There are a lot of people who commit to things and never follow through. I too have had guys who will ask for my paypal, only to never hear from them again. It's like they want to lockup the sale to prevent anyone else from having a chance to buy the item, until they make up their mind whether they want it or not.

So I reached out to Fast3v, telling him just send me a few bucks back for not sending billet, I even sent Holywd a pic to confirm and they are cast, and I'd forget the whole thing and he tried again to tell me they are billet just faded ,when they look nothing like billet. Just bring it down to the asking price send me $20.00 back, before he started the bidding war, he said "whatever" . Opinions, worth contacting paypal for item received not as described? That was suggested to me. Thanks guys.
