You don't need exhaust, take the manifolds, midpipe and axlebacks off..... Absolutely no back pressure, about 100hp gain and flames!

Sucks being new to mustangs, I know. Everybody acts like a complete jack ass when ya 1st join up then they warm up to you. The only thing I knew about mustangs before I joined was my big ole truck loves to play w/ s197s & now since I have 1 & joined here I have learned alot more. I will help you out here

For the most part as far as axle back mufflers go everybody goes w/ borla stingers or the other stinger mufflers such as frpp & so on, which to me sounds the best. As far as the rest its all in what you want. Alot of people do lt headers & the rest just stick w/ either a catted or non catted aftermarket x or h pipe. Look on youtube for the exhaust set up you think sounds the best.

Axle backs yield little gains other than sound. The power is in the header & mid pipe set ups.

This is the setup I was running, but when I staged and hit the 2 step it caught my car on fire.....

Thanks ou81 but Im not new to mustang's I have had about six from 10 sec to stock. But this is my first s197 I was just looking to see what every one was running I know on the fox body every one has flowmaster's but never see any on the s197 why is that?

I have some flowmaster's out in the garage so I will put them on and see if I like them if not I will put the stock one's back on.
