My SCT Handheld isn't broken it just needs to be unlocked. When I was toying with the revolutions adjustment for the 4.56s trying to get the speedo to be somewhat close the damn thing froze up.

Oh I see.... So you just have to send it to SCT to have it unlocked for $150 right?

Yeah I thought it was $100... Which is still shit because that's 1/3 of the cost of the tuner
Yea, I have to agree that is bullshit... It prob takes them 15 mins to un-lock it....

silly question but how come you didn't get a bbk 62mm or frpp 62mm t/b that way you wouldnt need adapter plates and all that.
Ive heard to much bad things with the BBK as far as the electronics go and grinding gears and IMHO the FRPP is way over priced.....

Hey so I just read thru the entire thread and have to say that was a pretty good read... LOT OF WORK; but will be all worth it soon!!!

I wish I would have seen this thread earlier I spun a bearing and as a result I replacing it with a 298ci and 2.3 plus heads blah blah blah (same thing everyone else seems to be doing)... Anyways, why I am saying this is b/c I had an FRPP manifold I was selling basically brand new but sorry already sold it....

Good luck and I can't wait to seem some updated pics!!!!

ah fair enough. i agree the frpp is expensive but it does come with all the electronics.
The one I bought has the electronics too. Ready to plug and play out of the box.... $131 shipped from CJ pony parts..... Add in a BBR plate for another $100 and you have a -2mm, un polished frpp TB :beerdrink:
