Sorry JJ, not interested in this thread. I prefer to wait weeks until a magazine has results.

Fixed it for you.

I think the results of this will be much like the 3V intake, which will be small gains in the upper RPM, and the real gains will be with ported heads.

Im pretty sure there will be some amount of loss down low. It has shorter runners, it is to be expected.
That being said, the loss down low doesnt mean anything, if youre trying to get somewhere fast you shouldnt be at low rpm.

I've heard of gains from as low as 3000 were possible.

That would be interesting, and for those with higher rear end ratios, and loss below that is pretty meaningless.

There will be a loss down low, this isn't the intake if your wanting more towing performance for your 5.0.

It is on and not hard at all to install. I will be doing a complete writeup with pictures and everything later this evening.

It will hit the dyno in the morning and I will post the results.

I must say that it looks really sweet sitting there and even if the gains are minimal I love the way it looks. :thumb:

The JLT CAI will work but requires a different silicone adaptor and I really would prefer a Boss Specific CAI for this car instead of making this one work. the JLT points one way at the end and the Boss intake points another causing a weird fitment.

Thanks everyone, I look forward to the results and do this kind of testing for my own curiousity and for your benefit.

Damn that was fast! lol

I cant wait to see the write up. My '11 is my DD, so I was hoping it wouldnt be an intensive install.

So will the stock CAI work with this intake?

Well so do I... But I'm trying to stay realistic. Using the 444hp rating of the Boss motor along with the fact, I don't believe Ford would have left "that" much power on the table

Any word on the Boss 302 heads going on sale?

i agree. there wasnt any extra HP on the table with our engines.....well not more than 50-60 rwhp.

What other mods are on the WMS test car? That could skew the gains a bit so would like to know what else is influencing the power on the car.

I wouldnt want to use the JLT like they said becasue the flow looks like the air travels down then way up into the throttle body. Time for some new intakes to hit the market! How long was the total labor to install this? Something a garage + a friend + and a couple beers can handle with a few hand tools?
