Apples to apples, assuming that 550 on the Camaro is at the flywheel

Can't wait till they release a 50th anniversary camaro, totally ignoring the actual definition of anniversary (continuos production) but the GM boys won't have a problem with it. :roflmao:

This car will be fast, but I'd be scared shitless driving a car with this much power while not being able to see out of it.... I'd spend the extra coin on the CTS-V (or just get a Z06).
Also, as it pertains to the LSA, call me unimpressed.
550hp should be N/A numbers considering the cubes in question.

I'd personally like to see a lightweight Camaro Z/28 with a light, high compression, high revving 440+hp 5.3 liter... Like a mini LS7!
What a great road race series that would be!

i think chevy builds cars for midgets cause the hrr is the same way super low window. at a stop light i can't see the lights if i parked with the nose of the car right on the edge of the crosswalk so i have to lean over a bit

If the LS7 puts out 505 hp from 7 liters , why should the 6.2 put out 550?

because bmw can put out 500+ hp with a 5.o

Yes with a 383 lb ft peak at 6100 rpm.....the LS7....is lighter , smaller, more reliable and makes a LOT more power under the curve. It will also do 600 rwhp N/A without having to promise your first born child.

Even with the 5.0's specific output the 6.2 shouldn't put out 550 hp.

Not impressed with the LS7 either.
IMHO, 7.0 liters in a 'sports car' should pump out 600+HP

With all those cubes... We should be asking why they don't pump out more

the 5.4 DOHC All-Alluminum Ford SHOULD be hitting 500 in N/A form.

This is just my opinion, if you both don't agree with it, that's fine with me.

On another note... In case all the 5.0 fan boys missed it...
Hyundai's new 5.0L pumps out more than Ford's "legendary" new 5.0

The LS7 is in the top 3 of V8 engines made on planet earth only Mercedes M156 6.2 V8 and Ferrari's 4.5 liter V8 make more power.

Have you ever driven a C6 Z06, I would think a bone stock car that has ( not common) ran 10's bone stock down to the paper air filter and has done it many more times on a DR would show how much of a BAMF the LS7 is.

The C6 Z06 is fast as hell, but when do you stop adding cubes and start adding technology?

Please post the reliability data between the LS7 vs. s85 that you apparently have in your possession.

Can you also post the power curves?

Weight fully dressed the LS7 does have it beat, not by much.

blah.. Forget it... we are comparing a trickle down F1 engineering to trickle down NASCAR engineering...
