I am wondering what is the best standalone Tunning software for our cars I have a act x3 but I want to be able to change everything in my car not only a few set of selected parameters. If some of u know dsmlink I want something that will tune like that program.

The SCT pro racer package should have way more in it than HP tuners.

so the pro racer is one of the best does that include like data graph and sheets. Are you able to change EVERYTHING?

The pro racer package has more than everybody elses software but not as much as a trained SCT dealers software.

I have the SCT pro racers package and it has everything you would need to play with the tune on your car. You have to go to the SCT classes and get the professional package to be able to access some of the computer functions. Without the training you wouldn't want to mess with those functions anyway.

You aren't allowed to change the drive by wire settings, and a few other hidden parameters that only can be accessed with top level training through SCT. They key is to still work with a tuner who can help you with those portions of the tune you cannot access and then you handle everything else. Giving someone without a full understanding of the DBW tables is nothing short of dangerous and a serious liability.

Trust ne I know where your coming from my very good friend is really good at tuning turbo cars but he tunes Dsm like eclipses talons and lasers. He is willing to teach me everything. He's designing my fuel system right now that is like no one elses on here. He has Dsm link which is like AEM he controls everything in his motor and car. The pro racer is around 350$ correct because that seems very cheap to a full standalone Tunning program.

Dsmlink is not comparable to sct pro racer. I tuned many dsms when I had my talon, I wouldn't let him touch your car, no offense. Any idiot can tune a dsm with dsmlink with some seat time. These newer pcms have way more parameters than an old dsm ecu.

o i no what you mean there are some very dumb people that try to tune cars expecially hondas and dsm. But he has two 800hp gsx and he knows alot like he can explain everything to me. I really trust him plus his brother is custom tunning his ss camaro so they both know alot of how everything works.

Like you were told get the PRP from a good SCT tuner and he will help you with the program. Unless things have changed with SCT, you can't buy the program directly from them you have to get it from a professional tuner. Talk to some of the better tuners and decide which one you want to get the package from. I got mine from Doug at Bamachips but he is gone now so make sure you think the one you chose is going to be around.

This has nothing to do with your guy being smart or dumb. There are some dealers that don't understand how the Ford DBW system works.

OP I'm thinking you're looking for tuning software
not an X3 handheld tuner
The tuning software allows you to change a large amount of the settings, more than you'd need unless you're looking to go beyond a typical blower stroker setup

I'm not saying he is dumb just I bet he has not seen systems like this before. I don't care if he has tuned 10 800whp gsx's, he still hasn't seen parameters like this. Shit I tuned a 650whp meth injected dsm on the street, doesn't make me a tuning genious. You need to go with a reputable sct dealer who can help you out. Plus probably a good idea to buy the manual for it.

I wasn't trying to come across that you were saying he was dumb. My fault for not communicating that correctly. I agree with everything your saying.

None of what has been discussed is "standalone", which refers to a completely different processor than the stock spanish oak.

Let someone with specific knowledge and experience with our processor handle the tuning.

You have to have the sct xcal to go with the pro racer package.
