Oh my bad, sorry. Eh, it's super oily, looks really nice if you are just going to a car show and don't care about protection. It's like a glaze with some carnauba in it.

Pretty much if it rains, the protection is gone. But if you want your car to look like the paint hasn't dried for 1 day, it's not a bad product. There's plenty of better products out there though that achieve the same look and last longer.

LMAO ! I have been reading the best wax thread.
I do have a question though, can you layer over a cleaner wax like the Zymol ?
I have some Blackfire Wet Diamond on the way as well as some Natty's Blue.

Layer as in what? Carnauba waxes don't really layer. They just kind've refresh one another. It's really a waste imo to put on more than two coats of a carnauba wax just to ensure even coverage. As a matter of fact the whole layer term is pure marketing bs by a certain sealant company in order to sell more product.

Any "cleaner" type product cannot layer itself, since it has mild cleaners/abrasives in it that removes anything below it. Glazes, Cleaner Waxes, AIO Sealants are all lumped into this category, and all should be used directly on clean clear coat/paint (i.e. meaning no other chemical products on the paint as the first application).

So if you wanted more pop to your coat of Cleaner Wax Zymol (believe it or not is rebranded turtle wax for the retail chain) then yes you could apply a Carnauba Wax on top of it (My recommendations in the $50-$100 category:

Pinnacle Souveran, Adam's Americana, Lusso Oro, Chemical Guys 50/50 (aka Wet Obsession), Dodo Juice Lineup, P21S 100%.

In the $100-$250 Category:
Zymol Concours, Swissvax Concorso, Zymol Carbon, Zymol Glasur, Chemical Guys E-zyme Natur, Dodo Juice Supernatural would be my top recommendations.

Personally, I would use a better pre-wax cleaner though as a base than the retail Zymol Cleaner wax though but that is just my opinion. Chemical Guys makes a nice bonding agent that does wonders for Carnauba waxes, as well as Zymol's Pre-wax cleaner, or Swissvax's Cleaner Fluid.

But since you are using a sealant, I would strip off your application of the zymol cleaner wax, since sealants like to bond to a fresh clean surface. So you can do a couple things. Get a spray bottle, mix it 50/50 with Isopropyl Alcohol, spray down the entire car like a detail spray and wipe it off. This will remove all of the wax, then apply your sealant. Wait a day for the sealant to cure, then apply your carnauba wax on top of it.

Sealant can never go over a wax, it won't bond properly.

I use Klasse AIO for a quick job and it works well enough to cover most of the swirls for a while since I don't have the time and patience to do a real cut and polish. I also really liked the Klasse Sealent as well, but its such a bitch to apply and remove I usually just give up before starting with it.

On a thread jack note, I have been having a weird issue with my Dodo Juice hard wax. My car is black and after I've finished applying and removing it, the next day if the car sits and bakes in the sun, the wax hazes up. It is easy enough just to wipe off, but I just don't get why it hazes up?

Any input Seer?

Carnauba sweating... happens a lot with most higher end / high content waxes. using the ice water method helps with it, or just go over it about 3-4 hours after a waxing with a detail spray.

Ahhh, right on. I'm glad since I had figured either my wax had been going bad or something or I was screwing up the application. Good to know. Thanks bruddha.
