So close to 12's. Help me figure out...

What do I need to improve, or my next mod to get 2 tenths for that elusive 12 second timeslip?
My small amount of mods are as follows...

05 Mustang GT Roush stock 3v 4.6 43k miles
Roush (airaid) CAI (with insert)
93 octane street tune (diablo)
Pypes o/r x and mid muffler system, stock manifolds
Pro 5.0 shifter w/ hurst stick
stock 3.55's
Eibach prokit springs
street) 20x8.5 AR 275/35/20 michelin pilot sports
Track) 17x9 cobra r's 26x11.50x17 ET Street bias ply 18 psi
Now using 275/40/17 Nitto NT05r DR's 15-18 psi

This was actually my 1st ever pass in this car and only my 4th pass down a dragstrip. First 3 passes in my sons 94 gt.

Delete plates/UDP's maybe an aluminum driveshaft. 4.10's of course.
You should be trapping a bit higher maybe try an intake that requires a tune and an aftermarket tune those usually make a big difference.
12.85x with mods in sig.

Well I have tied the best time of a similar GT with 4.10's, cams, and custom tune. And this past friday night beat a gt with cams, longtubes , 3.73's, cai, just had it custom dyno tuned. Same night beat a new 5.0, but it had street tires and a 16 yo driver..lol
I'm sure my heavy ass 20" rims and 265 wide rubber on the front doesnt help much...

1 or 2 people have made it in the 12s with cai+tune on an otherwise stock car, great weather and track prep.

so yep, lighter wheels will help, I would get a better air intake, like the Steeda, JLT or C&L, an email tune from bama or brenspeed or other popular one. and 4.10 gears, i think you'd be in the 12s then.

Powershift..? I have missed 3rd gear 3 out of my last 6 runs..dont think I would try to get it in 3rd without lifting the throttle! Dont know if its my shifter or 3rd gear synchro. It only does that during wot shifts.

Syncro's may be going bad.....I would get that issue resolved. If thats the case it's killing your times, with your mods now you should be running 12.70's - 12.80's and should be trapping at least 107-108 mph.

Wot box, isn't going to fix his shifting issue......you don't wan't that granny shift/pause whne you trying to run good numbers lol. You need to shift it like it isn't your car lol......drive it like you stole it.

4:10s should do it,and a better CAI like what was said above. My mods are in my sig but I launch at 7000rpm and power shift at 7000rpm on drag radials.

Don't be hatin on me Keeno! I missed 3rd on that run too, but I shifted before you since I have 4.10s. That's when you caught me, lol! If I wouldnt have missed that gear I would have run 12s(I ran a 13.1 @ 106). But it was my first time at the track so I was pretty happy.

Drive it like you stole it dude. Get rid of those heavy ass 20's. Improve your 60ft by .06 and your there. Of course part of me wants to say "slap on a blower dude"!!! LOL

I'm working on selling my et streets and getting some skinny 15" fronts...
As for the blower...I wish that was in my budget!
Also, I think the track was prepped so well for the NMRA event, I may not be able to find a track with prep that good just on T&T nights. I ran 5 runs at Silver Dollar this past friday night...ran 2 13.4 passes, nothing close to my 13.1 in Commerce.
