    Inconsistent idle with cams

    It's the variable cam timing. Each head's timing is independent so you get what you are hearing. I like the way it modulates; sounds like the pair of 454 big block Chevys in my dad's boat!

    Slightly bigger? Try 3.3" bigger in diameter! That is a huge differnce... 27" front and 29.3" rear. Are you sure that the rears aren't 295/30/20s?

    How bad will cams affect my gas mileage?!?!?

    I lost ~1 MPG on the highway and ~2 MPG in the city... so I have been getting 15/23 after the cams. It is definitely my most favorite mod. Do IT!

    Apparently Brenspeed has been secretly working with Comp Cams in to develop these NSR cams. There is a video on their site where you can hear the idle. They sound great, but I will wait to see before and after dynos before making a purchase.

    Brenspeed is coming out with their own custom billet NSR cams in April. They are called Detroit Rockers. Similar to Hot Rod cams but supposedly has better HP gains.
