Mine is getting worse as well, it really seems like something in clutch system won't fully disengage the internals at high rpm.
Mine also seems to get worse with heat.
Really wish we could get some dyno numbers and video of dyno's, dyno sheets showing power curve....

Didn't have a fan in front but let the car cool down a good 30 minutes before the run.
Can you give us any idea about what increases in performance you have seen just adjusting the regular settings you mentioned above without messing with the vct yet?
If not numbers how about a seat of pants assesment?
