M/T 315 60 15 PRO Drag Radial
So the hood is fastened by rails / dzus fasteners on each side all the way down the fender and and additional 2 in the front. However I had nothing at the rear of the cowl inboard. I had no idea the cowl of the hood would flex like that, but since the hood is...
I am going back to Famoso (Bakersfield) on December 1st - there I plan on doing back to back runs with it on and off to see if there is any difference. If no difference, I am going to take it off. It does have purpose, especially for an NA car - but I can't get used to the look of it with a cowl.
Well I didn't plan on making Street Car Super Nationals my testing place, but it worked out that way as I missed two previous opportunities to test.
The video below is only my second full pass ever on this new combo - since I decided to enter open comp - the qualifying passes I was lifting at...

I think you got some good advice in this thread - it's good you are tracking your results and know all of your settings from pass to pass - this is key.
I saw it mentioned already once above - but don't overlook the tires. Once the rubber is too old -- they just don't work the same. I wanted...
You raced Travis lol? How could you hear yourself even think? Your car looks great - 8.80 still your best? Pretty awesome. I love Sacramento. Only been there a couple of times but the crowds are great there.
I think this was long overdue for a few reasons:
1) if you had a new $65K Hellcat lets say, and you just wanted to run it at the track once in a great while, it would be hard to justify putting in a cage in a new $65K vehicle if you broke into the 9s with a supercharger swap and dot legal drag...
Next time I am in the market for a new mustang, I will definitely be looking at a used GT350 or maybe a GT500 if it is out by then. I probably will be looking in another 2-3 years. Right now the GT350 is my favorite model.
