How is that a bad thing? Just because it's an older way of doing things? This style of V8 has it's advantages and does not seem to be hurting the new LT1 at all.
My LS7 is a beast of an engine yet is very high revving and gets just as good if not better MPG than the 5.0, and it's 427ci! It...
Welcome to S197forum. lol Actually, it used to be a lot worse around here, especially when SD and his nut-swingers were around.
Seriously though, it's good to hear a dealer is finally doing something about your problem. It's so annoying having weird noises from a trans or rear.
Yeah I think you're right.
I'd love to find one already used with few miles like that. Not having to pay the instant depreciation and stuff would rock. That's the sucky thing about new.
The search continues!! :D
But of course, if you're hitting around 800rwhp or more on a GT500 you're probably not running on the stock blower anyway. Even though the stock blower on a 2013 is a TVS (and at 14 psi already), I don't see a CAI being worth it on the stocker.
Now a large whipple or 3.6 KB sure.
From what I've seen so far, an aftermaret CAI on a 2013 GT500 does jack shit. A tune, pullies and even the CJ TB has some damn nice gains, but not the CAI. The stock one looks kind of restrictive to me but I guess it's not.
But, the carbon fiber CAIs do look a whole lot better. Not sure if that...
So I guess the dude I spoke with at that dealer must have been smoking some crack. I figured, he said some other stuff that had me going WTF? I didn't feel like arguing with him since I had to get to work. :)
But I figure if I still can't seem to get one of these at the options/price I want...
Yeah I plan on checking other dealers. From what I've just read they plan on making the GT500 through the winter.
My biggest worry is avoiding a markup.
Does anyone know when the 2013 GT500 production will end? I was just at a dealer (where I bought my 2006 GT) and this one dude said they stopped making them and are no longer taking orders.
They had a black with red stripes GT500 there with every option at about $67K. Too much for me, I just...
I get what you're saying. Unfortunately that's just how modern cars are now. The lower half of the front and rear bumpers are just so bloated, bulky and big. Gone are the days of cars looking sleek and slim. Now they look all bloated and plasticy.
I still like the newer mustangs though (I'm...
If that were true then how do I still get good mpg with hot rods and LTs? I'm not the only one either.
If you have shitty MPG with hot rods then your tune is shitty.
CarMax can suck it. Back in 2008, they offered only 12K for mine even though I owed 20K still. The car looked brand new and had like 30K miles. KBB said the car was worth at least 20K.
