Plan on going to 20x10.5" wheels with 305 30 20 tires on the rear. Wheels like the forgestar F14 are sold with a 40mm offset. Will this be enough to avoid the wheel hitting the fender when the car bottoms out or should I look for more offset?
Could be the cooling fan turning on. Sometimes the low speed can cause it slightly but if the resister fails on the low speed it will go from zero to hero when turning on the high speed fan and that will surely cause a dip in rpms for a second as the alternator load is heavy
I wont argue that. I do know there are things that can be done in the tune to correct or work around the issue. Problem is every aftermarket intake and car is different and these tuners are not going to take the time to sort out every car and intake system for the 300 to 400 we pay for a "custom...
I know and some will say that and some get lucky. But many don't. Again this is why they raise the idle for cold air intake cars. Some come out fine, others don't. I don't know why lund or AED would lie. I only posted this just incase this is his situation he doesn't go chasing his tail...
Both lund and AED told me if I want a rock solid idle like stock then I would need to stick with the stock intake tube and air filter. Apparently the larger after market cold air intake causes a more vague signal at the mass which makes it more difficult for the engine to settle down to a...
Seems they sent you the updated version. If I remember correctly ford updated these somewhere mid 2012. I heard of people changing out the terminals on the wire harness to accept these updated solenoids. You can press the wire pins out and slide them into the new terminal for a clean swap
Positive fuel trims. If it was a fuel pump I would expect to see positive trim more under heavy load than only just at idle. If heavy load trims look good then I would say the pump is fine. Sometimes Positive trims can be caused by misfires and incomplete combustion. As this does send oxygen...
I was hoping to get lucky like you with the DSS and I heard of others with lowered cars running the DSS with no issues. Thats why I tried it.. I honestly think they cut the shaft length wrong and didn't want to admit it and take ownership of the fault. It wasn't rubbing anything on the car...
The vibration or harness or whatever that i was getting with the Ford racing shaft seems to only happen at the higher end of the RPMS and at the peak of my cars power (2013 Mustang GT full bolt on NA car, long tubes, 2018 intake and all that mess). Honestly if the car was making just 30 less HP...
I tried both a Ford racing driveshaft and a DSS driveshaft. The DSS had a bad vibe under heavy torque and DSS blamed it on my lowered car (BMR sport springs). Claiming the driveshaft was too long for my lowered car. Wanted to upcharge me for a custom shaft. I sent back for a refund. The Ford...
