    Kooks or Pypes LT Headers

Few things to add. I had Kooks mid-lengths on my 5.0. Paid close to $1,600 for them with a 3" H-Pipe in a 1-3/4" size. The shop that did the install told me a nice story of the work he has done. He's installed probably over 50 headers for just pypes alone. The quality is often horrible, and...

    AX Tire Choice

If you can find them, Toyo RA1's were the shit. Had them on my 03 Cobra on all four corners which was bought from a guy that did heavy Auto X racing. The car was an Auto x king for sure, and those tires gripped like crazy, but, wore fast. Otherwise, what these guys said.

Random Limp Mode Issue - Chit Chat

I would scan for codes when that happens and keep track of them. I had a similar issue on my blown 05 that would do that after WOT pulls. Turns out, it was a simple fix as the hose connection kept coming loose and would cause the car to dump fuel like crazy and idle like utter shit. Another...

How much should you pay for a used Paxton kit for a coyote?

Pretty high priced if you ask me. Aren't they about 6K new?

    LOL...Cars & Coffee Fun!

I stopped going to these events because of both types of people. Idiots that feel the need to show off. It's so adorable when you rev your car or hit the gas and spin/chirp the tires. The other part of it is the stupid people huddling around these cars. Get out of the damn way you fucking...

Kooks Long Tubes with kooks X-pipe/H-pipe

Hey maz, Never pulled over for a loud exhaust. Only not having a front plate. Cop mentioned the car was loud, but didn't go any further with it. With headers, the car will quiet down and startup and normal speeds. Past 3-4K RPM is when you really hear it open up and it becomes obnoxious...

Kooks Long Tubes with kooks X-pipe/H-pipe

I had Kooks 1-3/4" LT's with an H on my '14 GT. The X's will ALWAYS sound raspy and won't have the level of depth/grumble out of an H-pipe. As far as decibel level, should be fairly equal provided both are cat-less and that will also be dependent on the cat-back/axle-back setup as well. I ran...

Holley makes an intake for the Coyote?

From SVTP: http://www.svtperformance.com/forums/showthread.php?1095598-Holley-Sniper-intake-manifolds/page3 CJ's are under $700 shipped now and this one is about $550. Not half the cost or really worth it over a CJ or Boss manifold.

    Low dyno numbers

FWIW - my 07 GT with a non-ic vortech, stock headers, stock 3.31 gears, in 100+ degrees went 12.2@113 with 407 RWHP on street tires launching off idle. You can get into the 11's with cool weather and good tires. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Low dyno numbers

Seems normal to me. Hot Rod cams are not big power cams. NSR's would have been a better option compared to hot Rods. My 05 made 446 RWHP / 394 RWTQ @ 8 PSI with a Vortech V2 (Stock pulley the S/C comes with) Shorty Headers, O/R H, Roush Cat-back, GT500 TB and 93 Octane. I had it dyno'd in about...

    Horrible Dyno Numbers inside.....

Dynojet's will always read higher. Dynocoms and Mustang dynos read lower and are more "true' to what you make. I would not say the OPs numbers are horrible. In fact, they seem pretty high for the mods. If you were expecting 400 RWHP, you'd need a fully built/bored motor, custom grind cams...

Hey, way to cover your tracks! You called me out, were proven wrong and decide to attack other parts. Did you see what I paid for my setup brand new? Nope. You take a random price online and set the standard for it. CJ Manifold WITH PORT - < $700 New TB - $500 Custom Intake- $300 - Made...

    CAI and tune 5.0 (moved)

You really are a moron. And I wonder why you were banned from SVTP. The quote above is actually a copy and paste of antihero guys time. My car has never been to the track. I found his old post where he claimed he was running 10.7 @ 124 on 93 octane and his times before where basically took...

    CAI and tune 5.0 (moved)

Intakes on the 5.0 won't do much. A tune will have a the single best gain aside from the following mods: Intake Manifold LT Headers Cams If anything, to make better use of your tune, get an O/R Mid-pipe or Cat-Deletes combined with the Intake and you will see higher gains, but, also see those...

    Picking up knock

What do you think the issue is then? OP added headers and runs Torco and still Has knock. He is also running on the original tune and added a major mod like headers. Thoughts?

    Picking up knock

Lund actually told you that a new updated tune is required for changing in headers which does increase air/exhaust flow significantly over stock? Tune with Headers is going to be required to account for the air flow differences.

    The Great Oil Debate

I will only put synthetic in the car. Amsoil 5W50 and it meets Fords requirements so warranty will not be denied if motor failure occurs. I have peace of mind knowing the oil is good and I'm not putting crap in my motor. To each their own.

what plugs for supercharged 08-up 3 valve?

Dave - I didn't say up to .036-.038 I did, howver, say .032-.035. Which is safe. I'll stand by my opinion of it being safe.

what plugs for supercharged 08-up 3 valve?

All about that decimal point and zero, eh guys? I think you knew fully well what I meant. .032 is the ideal gap for a supercharged 3V running up to 12 PSI. I doubt on a stock motor he is running 20 PSI, Dave. Unless he is intentionally trying to blow it up or it is an experiment and he...

what plugs for supercharged 08-up 3 valve?

Dave - don't forget I had 2 blown 3V cars. Always gapped them to .32. To each their own. I had great success with those plugs at that gap for a combined 120K miles on both cars over several years of ownership for each. Let me guess, you were a .28 guy, right?
