Department of Boost or whipple are your best bet. I had a vortech setup that I sold to go department of boost. The power was meh until you hit 3800ish rpm with the vortech. With the DOB kit it’s all the boost all the time.

I heat gun works wonders to revive faded black plastic. Just clean it really well prior to using it.

You should have a bulb style iat sensor in the manifold, that’s where the 2 extra wires will go. The car needs to read iats post intercooler so it knows to pull timing if things get too hot.

Happy to help. Look around on his website, you could spend hours just reading about intercooler tech. I just realized you have a 13/14 gt500. The heat exchanger is already quite large, you would probably see a good flow increase just by doing the J2 flow mod, running bigger lines, a bigger pump...

Check out departmentofboost.com Jason has a ton of info on intercooler systems, and I believe he is a J2 fabrication dealer. I’ll be running the Super Single heat exchanger as well as a EWP150 pump and 1” lines on my DOB supercharged GT.

That is the start of clear coat failure. The +40 offset will push the wheels out closer to the 1/4 panel. Generally speaking a 10” wide wheel with +40 offset and a 305mm tire Will be pretty close to flush with the wheel lip if you decide to go with new wheels.

The difference in the racks is the steering stops. 17s have the smallest stops and will turn the tightest, but you run the risk of rubbing the control arms depending on wheel size and offset.

70k isn’t high mileage. I put a vortech on my 3V at 132k now at 137k I’ll be putting on a Department of Boost pd supercharger kit on. That being said, I would highly recommend looking into one of their kits rather than the Edelbrock.

Very good chance you have your O2 sensor wires mixed up driver to passenger and vise versa with having one side rich and one lean... ask me how I know...

Department of boost is working on a 5.4 3V supercharger setup for the f150s. He also said it should clear the firewall and hood on a 5.4 swapped mustang no problem. Just something to think about.

A good rule of thumb is if the torque spec calls for anything +XX degrees they are TTY and should be discarded.

Its the aftermarket CAI causing it. Spend the money on a new tune. The ECM thinks there is more air going into the engine than there actually is because the diameter of the MAF is wrong for the tune in the car. The only way to correct it is a retune, or find out what was on the car before and...

You car has less lope with the A/C on because the car bumps up the idle rpm. That's what the guy in the video did to make the car sound like it isnt cammed. It went from idling at 700 with the first tune to 1200 in the second.

I would 100% replace those gears. It sucks to have to spend the money, but its cheaper than rebuilding the whole engine down the road if they fail.
