Need Power Windows up! No Wire Harness in car!

Well I have always just been able to do stuff like that by touching power to a 12v battery. You just need the power and ground to complete the circuit. You're not hooking it up to anything else that could cause worry. The switch runs on the 12v battery. Its just normally wired in with protective...

Corbeau FX1 Wide seat in 05-09?

If you're looking to loose the most weight you will need not only the right seats but the right mounts. The corbeau seat mounts for the seats really add some weight. Around 12 lbs if I remember correctly. It's been a while since I weighed them. Fathouse Fabrication makes some sweet adjustable...

Corbeau FX1 Wide seat in 05-09?

A couple images of when the interior was in the car

Corbeau FX1 Wide seat in 05-09?

I feel you on that. I'm currently a 38 waist size and I really enjoy the fit of the standard FX1.

Corbeau FX1 Wide seat in 05-09?

Sorry about the mix up but I just reviewed the seats I ordered and I have the FX1 standards. Not the pro

Corbeau FX1 Wide seat in 05-09?

Im about 5' 6" tall. I have a FX1 Pro and when scooted forward the inner side rubs the center console. I dont really think a wider seat will fit. Maybe if you are tall and seat is scooted far back but still seems unlikely.

    Strut mount? Balljoint? Controllarm Bushings?

Strut mounts would be my next guess. You can pull out the strut assembly and see if they are coming or have come apart. My driver side just fell apart and bearings went all over the garage floor. I replaced with the GT500 mounts as they are only about $100 for the pair. Inspecting the sway bar...

    Strut mount? Balljoint? Controllarm Bushings?

I had an issue like this. Took a bit to find. It ended up being a sway bar link. It appeared to be in good shape until I was removing the nuts and one stud would just spin. The stud broke off the pivot point but stayed in place. It caused the rattling especially over bumps. Sway bar links are...

    8.8 whine and vibration

Check pinion angle. You may not have to get into the diff, but if you do you will want to check the spider gears, among replacing necessary items. I had a whine and some vibration and it turned out to be chipped spider gears. Also as stated, the new crush sleeve is necessary and must be...

Think the K springs will work?

I installed a set of BMR springs that were supposed to be 1.5" drop on a buddy's car that had 20s. Tires rubbed on fender on bumps and hard acceleration. View the pic. It may be a close fit for you but I think its doable. Also...you will HAVE to get at least an adjustable panhard bar to center...

    Need help with weird issue

Glad you corrected the issue. The alternator, to my knowledge, should be able to run everything on it's own WHILE charging the battery. Not battery dependent as the engine keeps it rotating and generating energy. Faulty ground, however, would make the difference. I had a similar problem and it...

    Trunk lid swap

The cheap trunk did have to be tweaked a bit to get it aligned close enough due to a rear impact on the "doner" car that wasnt originally noticeable. So maybe I got what I played for. lol

    Trunk lid swap

I did this swap due to the awesome look of the 05-09 body with its sleek (almost foxbody) semi squarish rear end. I didn't want to fill holes, nor do I care enough about paint to justify the cost, so I ended up finding a non spoiler trunk lid and negotiated down to $60. I then removed the lock...

upgrading to boss 302 struts and ford racing springs

You should have no problem as everything bolts up the same. Same S197 chassis for 05-14. So many interchangeable parts.

    Blocking heater core hoses: S.O.S

Yes replace with a regular hose. But what I was trying to say is that he can also temporarily remove the entire piece (as pictured) and cap off the 2 ports. 1 on coolant crossover and 1 on back of water pump.

    Blocking heater core hoses: S.O.S

Gates 18071 and 19764 and trimmed them to correct length then mated them together with a brass hose connector from home depot.

    Blocking heater core hoses: S.O.S

You can block it if you feel capping it will hold the pressure. I have also deleted the heater core setup and used gates hoses to loop the two ports on the back of the block that come from under the intake. That entire piece can be slid out and blocked if you don' want to buy hoses.

Forgot to prime fuel pump !

Lmao! And no. To relieve pressure I always pull fuel pump relay and crank it till it shuts down and won't start again. Same concept. Running on "fumes".

    Electrical issue

Big thanks to everyone who chimed in. My suspicions were correct. It was a faulty ground wire. Problem solved! Runs normal again.

    Electrical issue

Battery reads 12.4. And thats after starting it and killing it over and over at least 10 times today. I havnt had low voltage in over a year...which is how long this alternator has been installed. After replacing the alternator I found a spot on the old cable that had rubbed thru and was...

    Electrical issue

It also still charges the battery. Battery is never low. And to my knowledge the voltage should rise as your rpms do, but that's not happening.

    Electrical issue

This is frustrating. Alternator has less than 1k miles on it. I still have factory one that tested good off the car. They both test good off car but fail on car. So it sounds like wiring. Here are my mixed results. I now test the car at 13.6 to 13.7 engine on. Draws another .1 to .2 with an...
