FD584532-E746-4B10-A8BD-238EF2825142.jpeg Hello guys!! I had a hose break underneath my intake manifold and I need to block the ports off to be able to run a competition this weekend.
How is this done?? Do I connect a hose from the bottom of the block to the top port?
What about the hoses in the firewall?
(Car is used for comeptive drifting and I have a competition in a few days)

Thank you
Upper hose that broke, also the top port

Upper and lower hose. Do I remove them entirely and block the ports on the engine block? Or route a hose connecting the ports?

Lower hose that runs from the firewall straight into block. To connect or to block?

Also what’s the best way to block a port that’s under high pressure and heat?

You can't go wrong connecting the to hoses that perviously went to the heater core. I'm not certain of the coolant flow on our cars but blocking them could cause an issue in theory.

You can block it if you feel capping it will hold the pressure. I have also deleted the heater core setup and used gates hoses to loop the two ports on the back of the block that come from under the intake. That entire piece can be slid out and blocked if you don' want to buy hoses.

Gates 18071 and 19764 and trimmed them to correct length then mated them together with a brass hose connector from home depot.

slik thats good and all, but THAT is the part that is leaking on him.

Id just connect the cross over and the fitting out the back of the block with a length of hose, and call it good

Yes replace with a regular hose. But what I was trying to say is that he can also temporarily remove the entire piece (as pictured) and cap off the 2 ports. 1 on coolant crossover and 1 on back of water pump.
