A pretty sure fire way to ease your worries of a blown head gasket is to have a "leakdown test" performed. But from what your describing it doesn't sound like a blown head gasket. Best of luck in your quest :)

I have about 4" underneath near the front pinch weld area. Its sitting low on Coilovers. Really hoping/thinking about the 7000 series since it can lift my F-150 as well. Alright. Thanks for chiming in. I guess your only guy on this forum with QJ :)

No way they where manufactured like that. How could they have installed them. Did the owner already previously try to or have someone try to remove them prior to you getting involved?

I have read that you want your links set at roughly 90* to the bar. Is there a exact reason why that is? Also, when installing adjustable sway bar endlinks to get zero preload is it best to set a 90* then weight driver side to your weight then set endlink to have zero barrel turn resistance...

So, what method is best for painting these. I plan on having a buddy thats a good painter at a body shop do it but, was there any tech tips from others that have done or had them done? Did you paint single stage urethane or bc/cc? What primer did or do you recommend? Thanks

I already ordered a set of the Eibach Pro Street S coilovers, MM CC Plates and a BMR Adj. Panhard. Just waiting for it to all come in. I guess it just came down to wanting exacting adjustability on height.

Thanks, Yeah LMR said these wheels where made specifically for the S197 with the offset designed for that car. So, I think I will give the string thingy a look. Then if all looks well go with the Ford K springs. Thanks for everyone weighing in. :)
