I have a Hurst shifter in my 07 GT, tight shifter and you know when you hit the gear, no question about hitting the gate, you can literally, make a shift with your arm on the arm rest and a flick to the wrist.

Get a picture of the door jam sticker, you can glean a lot of details from that.

Door panel issues solved with Coverlay, I had mine painted to match correct color of interior, I have a Hurst shifterwhich works fine, my 4.6 has some modes, cams LT headers and Flowmaster exhaust, a tune by Lito solved all my problems, with idle etc.

I have an 07 with Long tube headers and Flow Master axle back, my first step to reduce noise was to use fat mat throughout the trunk and interior floor, reduced the overall noise in the interior while maintaining the rumble of the exhaust system outside., just a thought.
