Possible to Dyno AUTOMATIC 06 Mustang GT w/o trans lock tune?

Haha gotcha. 3rd gear pulls it is! Thanks for the insight. As for your dyno run using O/D off question, O/D actually kicked off for me when I wound it all the way out on a closed course one time. I was going maybe 150mph before it redlined and kicked me into 5th (it automatically put o/d back...

Possible to Dyno AUTOMATIC 06 Mustang GT w/o trans lock tune?

Yea I contacted lito as well to inquire about a tune and pricing. I plan to go to him in the future once I start adding more bolt ons. I think I'm going to just try dynoing it in 3rd... Really want to see what the numbers turn out to be haha, thanks for your input.

Possible to Dyno AUTOMATIC 06 Mustang GT w/o trans lock tune?

I want to baseline my car before I add power. Is there any way we can dyno the car without having a special transmission gear lock tune? If I take O/D off, will the car be able to be dyno'd since it'll stay in 4th once the guy goes WOT? 4th is our 1:1 gear as well if I'm not mistaken which is...

Considerable PCV Leak, time to replace?

Haha funny, I did do just that pretty much. Seems good to go, haven't seen any leaks still so hoping it holds up! Didn't want to make a video on it since I wasn't 100% sure what I was doing myself either.

Considerable PCV Leak, time to replace?

For the 05-09 Mustangs, the actual valve is part of the valve cover, we can't remove it. So I wasn't able to shake it and hear the little ball or mechanism rattling around to ensure it was freely moving haha. I was only able to take off the PCV Hose and clean that out, which so far so good but...

Considerable PCV Leak, time to replace?

Logically that would kinda make sense but everything I've read and listened to relates leaks to being stuck in the Open position! It's all interesting and new stuff to me. I cleaned it all up today and put it back together, will be monitoring it moving forward. Drove for 2 hrs today and no sign...

Considerable PCV Leak, time to replace?

Roger that sir will do! Thank you for the tip ~ Ah, had no idea you'd need a new cam cover. That sounds a bit ridiculous but oh well. I'll definitely look into catch cans a bit more though, as I thought those were only useful for boosted applications. Thank you for all the insight, and your...

Hmm, I thought catch cans were more for boosted applications. I'll look into them!

Attention stereo wizards - need advice - Replacing head unit of Shaker 1000

Make sure you plugged your HVAC controls in properly, and more importantly push the tab on the back of the connector UP to lock it back in place. This happened to me as well because I forgot to push that tab back up locking the HVAC connector in place. It's the plug on the BOTTOM RIGHT of the...

Considerable PCV Leak, time to replace?

Just noticed that my PCV Hose is leaking where it connects to the actual valve on the valve cover. Would I need to replace the hose as well as the valve? Or can the hose still be used as long as I replace the valve? Is there a better one to go with over OEM? Or should I stick with OEM?

Best Place to Buy Aftermarket Parts in Canada

Damn, you went all out! It's actually exciting to have new sites to look through lol. I have all the parts I want laid out in separate wish lists on AM so if I can find better prices elsewhere it's a done deal. Also, I'd like to thank you for always answering mine and other ppls' questions on...

Best Place to Buy Aftermarket Parts in Canada

Just a quick question for my fellow Canadian 3v owners.. Is American Muscle still the best place for us to purchase our aftermarket parts from, considering the hefty shipping costs and poor CAD to USD conversion? I've purchased a couple things from AM already, but beforehand I'd do some brief...

Attention stereo wizards - need advice - Replacing head unit of Shaker 1000

I recently installed my head unit as well and if I recall correctly, there was an additional step I would have had to take if I had the Shaker 1000 system. I can't remember what it was, if it was settings-based or purchasing an additional piece of hardware; but I know there was something extra...

    WHIRRING/HUMMING noise at exactly 145km/h?

Damn, that doesn't look good AT ALL. Also read through the comments on your post, really useful info in there as well. Might look into the same DSS or ford perf one and tackle the install myself as well on some stands. Thanks a lot, gunna check hopefully tmrw to see if mine has that much play.

    WHIRRING/HUMMING noise at exactly 145km/h?

Hmm, yea I've read online that tires can make this sound... I had no idea that they could beforehand though. I have some pretty good NittoN555's on with lots of life left so I'll see if the noise stops when I switch to Winter tires real soon! Interesting, thank you very much for sharing your...

    axle back

I just want to add that with my Borla ATAK axle back, I had to get the hangers cut (shorten) quite a bit, and had to weld it onto the frame rail which is NOT where the stock one welds. I was disappointed with the extra steps needed to make the axle-back fit nicely as well; since it's not stated...

    WHIRRING/HUMMING noise at exactly 145km/h?

Hey guys, I've noticed for some time now that my '06 Mustang GT makes a whirring noise (not a whining noise), similar to that of a failing wheel bearing, every single time I take the car to 145-148km/h... It sounds like it's coming from the right rear, and it literally happens every time I hit...

Are these things COMMON for stock 05-09 Mustang GT's? (Intake noise, poor shifter, etc)

Ah thank you, this clears that up for me. Never thought of that to be honest but it makes total sense. Also, I was betting against the fact that my car had the sound tube so thanks for clearing that up as well; though I will be doing a bit more research / looking under the hood near the firewall...

Are these things COMMON for stock 05-09 Mustang GT's? (Intake noise, poor shifter, etc)

Hey guys, I purchased my dream 06 GT about two months ago and I've been in love with it since. However, I do have some questions about a few things I've noticed, and I wanted more insight as to whether or not they were normal for these cars. The AUTOMATIC shifter/shiftknob: Is it supposed to...

    05-09 Automatic Shiftknob Options

Lmao RIP. It truly sucks though that the TCI was like the only true aftermarket option for these Stangs :( One of the things I hate most about the autos for this model.

    05-09 Automatic Shiftknob Options

Are we able to use ANY aftermarket shiftknob so long as it has a lock release button? The only reason I doubt it is because the Mustang's stock shiftknob has that overdrive button... Does this mean the ONLY shifter we can use is the TCI Ratchet shifter (which has since been discontinued making...
