I found a heck of a deal on a set of 03 cobra pistons. Has anyone figured out what the compression of these are in our cars? I can get them for 250 shipped and then I'd just need to get a set of rods and I'd be set.
It would be a good deal if they were 3V specific..... and in a new block.
considering you will work in your current block, you would need to go 0.020 over, meaning those stock 3.552 pistons wont work for you.
Has anyone ever dealt with Mod Max Racing. They seem to have some good deals on their internals. Without the crank they kit is 800 with new everything. Doesn't seem like a bad deal, I shouldn't need to change the crank if I only want high 500s.
I got my internals from them and they shipped everything quickly. I got everything except the crank. I just had my stock crank rebalanced. Take MMR and stuff them up your ass. Do not stain these hallowed halls with that blasphemy.Stick to the cobra crank and rods if you wanna save money. Contact MMR for the pistons and rings and the gaskets you'll need. Good time to go to head and main studs if your going to be making some power.

Typically you're good on valve to piston clearance up to .500" lift with the four or two valve pistons. And that includes a true flat top.
So what part of this............
