you don't have to lift it out, just one side up a few inches, then down onto the new mount. then the other side. Your not pulling the motor here. Can be done with a jack and jackstands easily.

I did see something from TacoBill where he used a Jack and a 2x4 to lift the engine itself up a few inches.

I'll def. look into that then.

they've always offered poly poly. I had them way back in 2005!

I think most people chose rod/rod or poly/rod in hopes to fix the issue, when something that stiff wasn't needed.

Yeah back at my buddies shop when I had my 01 GT. I remeber him installing the braces on an 05 stang and they had no bushings they were rod. I think the poly is a much better option.

Yup there are write ups out there you just unbolt the mount and jack the motor up a little swap the mount and lower it back down.

Imagine calling the phone company.

"Hi, I am working on my car, and need a few phone books to lift my engine, can you send me some more?

My Prothanes and CHE limiters got rid of all driveline twisting and I haven't missed a gear since. Definitely worth the $$$.

Maybe I'm missing something here but doesn't it make more sense to just switch the shifter out again? This was when the problems started yes?

Seems like a lotta work to just make the hurst work.

Chris, how do you like the mounts? gettin into 4th any better?

Well, I've tested it a couple of times, and I still can't hit 4th. I tried this morning from 3-4 and the car went into 2nd, even though I clearly went straight to 4th. It almost feels like going to 4th, the shifter gets stuck, and then finds its way into a gear. I do like the feel of the motor now, and it doesn't bounce around. I can hit other gears pretty smoothly, not 4th though.

Thanks again dude!

Taking this POS to Ford to see if it is a bad synchro in 4th, since I still have a warranty.

Love to do that, but, Ford kept my stock shifter so I don't have one. They also want about 270 bucks for a stock shifter too, haha.

I really didn't notice this when I swapped to the Hurst. If I recall, I was able to hit 4th the few times I beat on the car. I am really starting to believe I have a bad synchro.

it is most likely the bushing on the hurst shifter then, as i said far earlier.

Bushing sure beats replacing a shifter, motor mounts, or any of that other stuff mentioned already.
