Find some used 17` stock mustang wheels and order some ET streets. You will never have a traction issue again. I placed a WTB ad on craigslist for mustang wheels. Got a call in two days. $100 for both. Ordered the tires from brenspeed. Tires can be found in the classifieds now and then too.

Not if you slip your clutch. I slipped from 5500 on street tires and got two chirps and a 1.88 60ft on 3.31's.

this, except with my car I bring it up to about 3k, and then drop the throttle to 1/2-3/4 throttle on the last yellow. from there I control the timing of the launch and feel out the traction with the clutch and add throttle as I can keeping it in the power band. if you use my methond you can 60' but it will take some learning and until you time it right.

To see what tires really do for traction,i haven't learn to post videos here yet,go to YouTube and type in BlueByYou07 in the seach box and you'll see my car in action running 12's on drag radials. In one of my videos ,i'm even smoking a 556hp Caddy CTSV!!

Just saw all of your videos and WOW your car is MOVING.
You're running 5.0 times or faster with just some minor bolt-ons.
Gave me faith on my 3v lol
I can't wait to run mine on the track this fall.

A question, the list of mod in your video didn't include DS. Do you have a new video with DS? I'm curious to know if it made any change.

Thanks,

Thanks,

Thanks and i did have the driveshaft in the videos,it was worth a tenth maybe alitte more. I went from 12.50's to 12.30's-12.40's with the shaft alone. One test drive after installing was like night and day in my car. Engine revved alot faster through the gears.

Thank you sir! I probably have over 5k powershifts under my belt since i've been racing a 5 speed Mustang since 1989. In the video's,the runs in the 12.30's,the launch rpm was 3800,the 12.40 and 50 runs were launched at 4000,too much tire spin. A 3500 would create a slight bog and would run 40's and 50's also. Tire pressure was 15psi hot after burnout. Every gear shift was powershifted at 6500rpm crossing the line in third gear at 6500rpm also. Any higher or lower would fall off a tenth. The wheels made a HUGE IMPROVEMENT!!! The best seat of the pants improvement i put on my car because i have the same 18in polished wheels as you do,heavy as shit,LOL!!

Hello there John!! Thanks for the kind words my friend! Sorry i missed getting back to the track to meet up again. Been busy with work and trying to get my old 86 LX notch 5.0 high school stang back on the road and back to the track. How's everything your way?

Hey peeps...

I came from a 07 Civic Si which was running high 13 with full bolt ons, so Im still learning about the Mustang and RWD in all lol.

Nice pull. Now that you've corrected the error of your ways by ditching the rice burner you can stop using the word peep. :laughlots:

I would start out at 15-18 psi,do a good healthy 1st gear burnout, pull to the line and since you have 3.31 gears like me,try launching at 3500-4000rpm. If you bog, raise your prm 3-500,if you spin,do the opposite lower rpm 3-500. I wouldn't go lower than 15psi in the tires because the car may tend to sway side to side on the big end.

Alright guys..just got home from the track. Kinda happy but know it has more!!!

Ran 6 passes

13.44 @107 8.7 @82 2.0 (just getting feel of track, not big launch)
13.28 @106 8.6 @83 1.97
13.14 @106 8.4 @83 1.87
13.09 @106 8.4 @84 1.89
13.06 @106 8.4 @84 1.84
13.02 @106 8.3 @83 1.76

ET Streets, first 3 runs had about 21-23 psi. Last 3 lowered down to 15-18 psi.

Launched hard everytime (5000-6000k) and powershifted the hell out of it lol

Problem was after every lauch, I bogged even on my fastest run. Need more power?
