I know there were some minor changes in pcm calibration and the 11s had the junk mt82s but what about overall, which one would you choose? I like the styling of either a black or white 11-12 gt with a blacked out front end but I do like the 13-14 headlights. Im trying to decide what to go with when I sell my 07 gt. What are some pros/cons of each? And yes I know the 13-14s had more features like track apps but Im looking for what people think of each if that makes sense.

Pretty much body style and color options sums up the differences from 11-14. I would personally stay away from the 11s. They had the most TSBs as first year of production. I tend to stay away from anything that is a first year run. I don't think there is any MT-82 changes. On the auto, 11-12 has just drive D. 13-14 had sports mode S.

There is technical differences of course if you want to really dive into the differences like 11-12 5.0 had oil squirters that had 412 HP. 13-14 did not have oil squirters and had pistons coated prosses lifted from the Roadrunner engine and that is where the extra 8 horsepower came from. There's several other small technical differences but don't see the point of listing as pretty much comes down to body and color options. I can't say one is better than the other.

Same crappy manual transmission in all those years.

I had an 2011 GT with zero issues. Nothing wrong with a car from that year.

The mt82 doesnt really bother me, Im not looking to drag the car so the trans should last. Were there any significant changes to the interior other than gauge face color and track apps?

All opinions are welcome.

I havent checked pricing but if the 11-12s are that much cheaper I think Id go with one. I do like the styling of the 11-12s better but I like the headlights on the 13-14s better. Im really looking for a fully loaded gt again with the shaker system preferrably leather seats too. Ill look at the steering wheels too, maybe even swap one in if I like it better.

How are the hids in the 13-14 reliability wise? And how about the tail lights? Has anyone seen one go out? Ive seen a few 13-14s with uneven or non functional tail lights but not any 11-12s, in person that is.

I bought my 13 brand new, never had an issue with my headlights or tail lights. My car has been trouble free outside of an O2 sensor going bad under warranty and my steering wheel controls for the radio, sometimes if you hit button to go through your saved present channel backwards it will switch the bands for no reason. Like from FM 1 to FM 2. I have 65k miles on mine currently.

In 45k miles, the only problem I've had with my '13 that wasn't caused by mods was a rear axle seal that started leaking. And even that was probably accelerated by the autocrossing I've done with the car

Looking more at the interior I really like the 13-14 info center over the 11-12, theirs is almost exactly the same cluster as my 07. I really like the look of the 11-12 front end but the additional features the 13-14s have is a huge plus for me. Im leaning more towards the 13-14s now. Ive been doing some research but it makes me excited lol. One day this week Ill go somewhere to get my car an offer but I have a feeling its not worth much with 160k miles, a crack on the dash and no antenna... selling to a private seller is probably the best way to go but itll take some time.

You can do this, get a 13-14 and do a front bumper conversation. Should be easy from I remember. It's anyoing going 11-12 to 13 and 14 because you have to add a front end headlight bracket. But going 13-14 to a 11/12 front end is easy. The headlights already have brackets mounting to the body which means you just need to cut the brackets on the bumper off for the non HID headlights.

Honestly I think if I got a 13-14 Id leave the front end alone. I do like the 11-12 front end better but its not worth it to change the front end imo. I think the added features make up for it lol.

I recently sold my 09 GT Premium convertible and picked up a 2014 GT coupe with 6 sp MT82. By far I like the 13-14s better. I think that the rear end on a 11-12 is an after thought but the nose is OK. The tail on the 13-14 i s real attractive and so is the nose. Mine is not a premium and the only things that I think I am missing is the heated seats and power passenger seat adjustments. Those are no big deal to me. My $.02. HTH.
