I have read all the threads about how the Summit Stars need the front caliper ground down slightly with the 3/8" spacers and the rears are fine. Apparently I have that one mutant 05 Mustang (Dec 04 Build) that has all kinds of oddball shit on it. The rear calipers won't clear the wheels:wtf: I looked on my calipers and they are marked with TRW if that means anything. I have been grinding away as seen in the attached photos and they still won't fit. When I have the lugs on loose, the wheel will spin. As soon as I torque down the lugs, the wheel locks. I can't quite figure out where it is hitting. Anyone have any ideas? Once I am done getting these to fit, I was going to use G2 caliper paint to paint them red or black.

you could try putting some paint in the caliper and put the wheel to see where it hits or put the 3/8 spacer on it to see if it spins freely.

I did try the 3/8 spacer and the wheel spun fine. I just couldn't get a good enough view to see where it is hitting. I'll have to get some paint. I thought these were supposed to fit....ugh!!!

When I had the Weld's on my car, (in the sticky), once the caliper was clear of the wheel, I noticed the wheel was also hitting the flat part of the caliper bracket, I am gonna bet that is where you are having trouble....

Yea I gotta agree with chris on this one man also go to lowes or home depot whatever and pick up a " flap disc " for the grinder it will give you alot better look once finished and it will still take off a good bit of material like the grinding wheel thats what I used on mine

http://www.mrabrasive.com/flapdiscs.htm < something like this

Mine are the same way on my 05. Only thing I can think of is that maybe the brake pads were recently replaced by someone before I got the car and the caliper sits out just far enough to touch the wheel. I have 1/8" spacers and it doesn't hit with those.

Pumpkin, it is the part that is parallel with the body or the car....the flat part facing outward of the rear-end...
