unless its DOB provided HP, then your drowning in poon.

Also I have 1500HP at the FW, with roughly 77% drivetrain loss. I should put 1500 stickers on the car

That's the way it's done nowwa days.

I'm just going to design a realistic dyno graph generator. People will be racing the shit out of them on the interwebs!!!

Hey the decals have been adding significant HP for the import crowd for years now so why not right?

Way more than $30k. My vette only makes 1200rwhp and motor alone was ~$15k or so, and that was assembling it myself. Then fuel system, power adder, drive train, etc. $30k maybe in parts for a glory pull, but a realible 1500, $50k+ without labor to put any of it in.

I'm not even going to reach 1500hp and I've got close to 15k in just my engine. And that price doesn't include the block, heads, and crank I already had. Then start looking at the rest of the needs:

Fuel system - 1500+
Injectors - 1500
Power adder - 8000+
EFI with sensors (probably not stock at that level) - 3500
Transmission to take it - 5000+
Converter if auto - 1000+
Rearend to take it - 2000+
Suspension to make use of it (if just not wanting to be a dyno queen) - 1500ish

Wanting all of that to live more than once, shit is going to get stupid expensive. A junkyard LS isn't going to get to that level, there will be a lot of money in an LS to get there.

IMHO a 1500 rwhp mod motor would be north of $40,000, just for the engine and FI setup. You can then add an additional $25.000 for all the chassis, fuel system, trans, rear and all the other mods necessary to handle that kind of power. I'm with Tiger on this one, if the guy is asking what it would cost, it's never going to happen.

This is the best answer so far. There is no way in the world you can do a complete turn key for 30. No way.

with the number of things that need to get changed or replaced building to 1500hp you might actually be better off starting with a v6. You saved money walking in the door.

Just get it to 900hp on the dyno, then factor for drivetrain loss. Done.

You're welcome.
