Right now I have 20x8.5 rims and can't get tires wide enough to stick. I want to get the stealth black fr500 20's but don't want to pay an arm and a leg for some decent tires. The only problem is I don't think 18s on 05+ mustangs fill the well enough to look good. I really want 18s but I just don't think it will look good. So, guys with 18 inch rims AND lowered, please post some pics of your car and persuade me :)

What kind of power do you make right now and what tires are you running on the rear?

Judging from guys with similar mods I'm thinking anywhere between 330-350 from what I've seen. Rear tire = 255/35/20

255/45/18's and 295/45/18's with the eibach pro kit
Lowering makes all the difference. I've seen some with 18's that weren't lowered and i didn't think it looked good at all. Seeing 18's lowered does look damn good. 18x10 stealth black fr500s sound really good right now.

I have 255/35/20 NTO5s and had pretty good traction at just north of 400

Hmmm. I guess my tires are just crap. I spin through 1st, 2nd, and hook up midway through 3rd if I want. If I really want to make it hook through 2nd I can, but I'd rather just rip the gears not worrying about spinning.

I think 18's look pretty good on our cars... especially when lowered. I will be stepping up to a 19" next summer but don't have any issues with the 18" Steeda's on it now... Here is an older shot when the rims were chrome and the one below it with plasti-dip on them.

Wow, these all look legit. Every car I see in town with 18's isn't lowered and I just don't like it. But lowered, 18's do look good
