So many wheel size options.

what is tramline? never heard of it at all...

If i plan on doing bags. and 20.9 wheels. so i need to get the panhard bar still? These s197s are much more complicated than my 2004 mach i had lol..

Yes you will still need a a hard bar to center the rear end up. The 20s and bags aren't a problem at all but the rear will more than likely be out of track.

Team line is your front tires fallowing grooves/cracks in the road. Making steering more difficult.

i had a set of 20'' godspeeds on my 07 and they where a few pounds lighter than the factory 18s and rode great with a 255/35/20 up front with a 285/35/20 out back.good luck with your choice and post some pics!!

I'm debating on the SVE drift wheels in 18 or 19. I know I will lose a little sidewall, but other than that I'm not sure what the downfalls would be. Nitto has some tires in 19 and they are fine with me. The weight is only 2-3lbs more a wheel. Any reason to get the 18s over the 19s that I am not thinking of?

Will my traction hurt that much from sacrificing that little bit of sidewall?

I love my 19" Drifts but, as others pointed out, tires are expensive so I'm going to drop back to 18's. Just trying to find an 18 I like.

The Nitto 555s are only 197.00 compared to 159.00 in 18s.

While not bad that's still $160 difference on 4.

If that's the biggest downfall, I'll take it. You are always going to pay more for a tire that is on a larger wheel.

160 dollars every 2-3 years is fine with me.

so get the drifts in 18! That's what I'm doing...only thing is they are offset for sn95, but really not much more then your 19s...

So you're getting the s95 18" drifts and not the s197 drifts? I was considering the staggered 18" drift package but the black 18x10's are on back order. I ended up placing a preorder on a pair of xxr 531's in flat black. It's a CCW clone. 18x9.5 +35. I'm thinking of going with a 285/40 and will test fit that front and back to see what it looks like. If it looks good I will buy another pair. Otherwise I'm getting two 18x8.5's and I have the option of either a +20 or a +35 offset on that.

I think I'm going to spring for the 19s. I don't think I want to spend an extra 200 for tpms sensors though. Can that be turned off in the tune? I'm assuming it would be too much of a pain to transfer them from my stock wheels.

I have an opportunity to score a set of 18" '10 GT500 rims for about $300-400 and I'm most likely gonna go for it.
I'm assuming they'll fit my Brembo car since the GT500 uses Brembos too.

As far as tires, I've been saying all along that I want 305's out back ... I don't know if 305's would fit on 9.5"-wide rims, so I'm most likely gonna go with 285/40/18's for the back ...

Anybody know if 305's would fit ?

305's would technically fit but they are definitely not ideal for a 9.5" rim. I think the 285 is as wide as I would go.

Yeah the 285/40 would be ideal.

The 295/40/18 is about 27.3" tall (about .3" taller than the front 255/45's would be) and they're rated for 10"+ wide rims, but I think that I could fit those on the 18x9.5's and be OK ...

You will probably have a tiny bit of sidewall bulge with the 285's but you definitely can run them on the 9.5" rim.

This is a 2010 GT500 with the same 18's that I'm looking to get and the factory size tires of 255/45 fronts and 285/40 rears. Looks like I could definitely run a 295/40/18 on these rims ...
