I was cleaning out old bookmarks and clicked on this one from two years ago. Since I don't post on here very often, I thought I'd post an update.
http://www.s197forum.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1155439#post1155439

- The Boss is still alive and ticking on the original stock longblock. It turned over 11,700 miles today. The only engine mod is TSS oil pump gears.

- 6R80 trans with exedy stage 2 clutches was installed summer of 2012 due to multiple failures of the MT82. (2 input shafts and shattered 4th gear)

On stock headers and E85:
- ran 202.7 mph at the TX mile in Oct 2012 on the rev limiter in 5th. Hoping to beat that speed in 10 days.

- drove to Ohio from TX in June 2013 to run NMRA True Street at Norwalk. On 93 octane, I got 25mpg average. Switched tires, tune and fuel and made a total of 8 passes, 7 of which were in the 10.1-10.3 range. Drove her home.

- Ran a 9.96 @ 139 at San Antonio Raceway in Sept 2013.

Just installed ARH longtubes and KW V3 in the past couple of weeks in preparation for the Oct TX Mile.

- This past Wed night the car ran 9.82 @142 and a couple of 9.83s. Launch RPM was 1200. Race weight was 3930lbs.

I honestly don't know if the stock motor is going to survive the upcoming TX Mile. I have a taller tire and 2.73 gears along with the longtubes. We're installing a trunk mounted icebox to keep IATs down and hoping for at least 207mph.

If it holds, great, if it doesn't, it's served me well!

Gorgeous car and good luck at the mile! How much power are you putting down?
Thanks! Haven't dynoed with the auto. Probably high 700s. 3.5" pulley makes 16-18psi.

1200 rpm launch...1.5 60ft...nitrous?

No spray. The purge was from the Raptor behind us.
I was on Hoosier QTPs. The car makes gobs of tq off the line. With a little more practice and a better track I should be able to pull 1.4s pretty easily.

Very nice Tracy, how are the coilovers working out for you?

I haven't pushed them because the only 186+ tires I could get have a 200 tread wear. That means they suck for traction so I won't push it around corners until I get stickier street tires on it. They seemed to have helped my 60ft though!

Nice, I like those rims too.. Caught your first mile pass a couple yrs ago, good meeting you and will probably be at the next one or else the upcoming Spring 2014. I saw yours run well there along with Ken and lund's car so I was hooked as well.

And...yeah, I would be a little leary of a non forged motor, at high RPM, in a car going 200 mph....lol!!!

Thanks for all the "good luck" wishes at the mile. I'm going to need them!

What fuel system are you running?
Fore Triple Hat/Walbro 465s, -10 feed, -8 return, ID2000 Injectors.

Thanks! The rims are True Forged 3 piece SS in 18x9, 18x11. I wanted something to mimic the stock Boss rim and keep the sleeper appearance.

Have you run the mile? It's like crack!

Nice!

Chicken!:poke:It has forged pistons and rods, that's why I bought a Boss. :thumb:

Car ran a 9.75@148, Fastest Stock Motor Coyote period.

BTW- This car weighs just shy of 4000#s, 100% street car and has 2.73 gears for Texas Mile next week.

Very well done car! I love a multipurpose car as well. Runs 200 in the mile and 9's in the quarter. Great work!

Tracy be safe at the mile, gonna miss being out there with you guys this year.
Thanks! Sucks that you won't make it out.

Not sure how it pulled a 1.5 60ft with 2.73s launching at 1500 rpm, but it did!
Here's the vid. I love this freakin car!

Technically it's a Road Runner :thumb2:

None the less, it's still the most badass Boss in the country.

Congrats Tracy!
