Got the new ride a couple of months ago and i am looking into some suspension mods ,

Basically the newer models have the same suspension layout so what are the main reasons why parts from 2005-2009 will not fit 2010-2013 models?

Some parts are designed a little differently from year to year. A perfect example is the strut mounts and the struts. You can use 2005-2010 struts on 2011+ cars but you HAVE to use 2005-2010 strut mounts (GT500, 05-10 camber plates or Steeda HD plates) and the opposite is true for 2011 cars. Ford changed the strut mounts to make them stronger (they are still junk) and changed the way the shaft on the strut was cut. There were also some small changes made to the steering knuckles (and spindles) to strengthen them and one of them was a different ball joint so front lower control arms from a 2005-2010 car will not work on 11+ cars without 2005-2010 steering knuckle and spindle and again the opposite is true.

Out in the back I'm not sure anything really changed that much. The 2011+ cars have a different UCA mount but as far as I know the UCA itself is the same. The rest is mostly bushing material changes, spring rate changes and shock valving changes. None of which matters if you are replacing those parts! :)
