Did you replace both? You will also need to replace the SRS control unit

The RCM (Restraint Control Module) normally doesn't need replaced. It will need cleared by a dealer or a shop with the correct level scan tool.

When I rebuilt mine after the wreck I was told I needed a new RCM and purchased one. Car still had the air bag light on with the new RCM. Dealer told me the RCM is VIN locked to the car and that was what had the air bag light on because the RCM did not match the car. Dealer reset it and light went out.

Just what I was told.

I've got a couple brand new Ford drivers side airbags if you're interested.

And yes, just have your RCM reprogrammed once the bag has been replaced and your car is up and running.

Well fuck dude. We gave you both options lol

Was wondering if there was a way to deactivate the system as a whole.
Like a race car, they don't have airbags.

I was just wondering... I don't want to highjack or derail the thread.
