Well I finally bough a porter cable 7424xp chemical guys set, some extra pads, mcguiars 105 and 205, chemical guys blacklight, and mcguiars ultimate liquid wax

I first cleaned the car, then polished with 205. 105 was not needed in my opinion. Then applied a coat of blacklight with the DA. Then wiped it off. Then applied a second coat by hand. Lastly I I applied mcguiars ultimate liquid wax with the DA. I think the car turned out great. If you have any wax or sealant recommendation please tell me. I am still learning.

Here are the obligatory pics.

Looks good! Makes me want to get off my ass and wash my car. I sometimes use Poorboys Nattys Blue paste wax on Black cars.

Thanks for the tips on waxes, I have been looking at the Chemical Guys Black luminous Infusion Wax. But I will look into the others now. I have kinda bit the detailing bug lol
And I have a shorty antenna, I just haven't installed it yet. I keep forgetting to do it lol

Car looks great. An affordable wax that looks good on black is CG Pete's 53. I have heard mixed reviews on the black wax.

Haha shhhh don't tell my secret lol. And I just ordered some Pete's 53, way cheaper. And I'm trying to save to install the saleen supercharger I have sitting at my house lol. Plus I can use it on my parents vehicles.

Also drove the car to work the other day, still looks great!

Install it yourself. I did mine in 8 hours with the help of a buddy to lower it in. I am by far, by FAR, no mechanic. It was fairly simple.

I am going to install it myself, but all I have is the supercharger. I need the injectors, alternator bracket, heat exchanger, etc so I can install it. Plus the price of the dyno tune lol. Yes I do all my own work lol

Looks great man! I wish I wasn't so damn lazy to learn how to take care of my cars' paint! Black is such a nightmare color for a car. At times I feel like I should've pick up a silver s197.

To be honest I just learned. I studied a lot of YouTube videos and read a lot of threads on here. If you get the right tools it is easy to do. And will look awesome. Btw if you really want a clean silver one. My 2005 satin silver is for sale on here haha
