Hoping someone has a fix without towing to the dealer. The battery was down and would not crank car. I tried a jump Battery was so dead, it would barely crank with jump but alarm system activated. I turned the system off with key fob. Replaced the battery . Everything is working except, the car cranks, but will not start. And the GPS on the nav screen shows the word GPS surrounded by a circle with a line through "GPS" GPS is not working. I tried the on-line cures. Disconnected the battery. Replaced the key fob battery. Tried a second key. Tried the 15 minute key in ACC mode. Hit the fuel pump reset. Nothing works The security system icon is blinking. I turn the key on, it disappears from the screen. Car cranks just fine, but will not fire. Anyway to reset that I may have missed. Hoping to avoid a tow to the dealer if I can.

Have you done any other troubleshooting for the no start issue? I mean have you verified spark and fuel? It was my understanding that the car would not even crank if it was the security system. I thought it disabled the starter. That leads me to believe there might be another issue.

I have an 07 and no nav screen so I have no idea about the GPS warning but I doubt it has to do with actually starting the car.

Thanks for the response You sure could be right. I have no idea at this point. Going to try calling around to see if some repair folks might have a suggestion. Otherwise its a AAA flatbed to Gaudin Ford. e

I can't help but think a fuse of some sort blew from messing with the jump starts so much... VERY unusual for a PATS issue from pretty much anything on these cars with the exception of the wrong key or a key with no security chip at all in it...

Check fuses, bigtime sounds like a fuse... Likely one of the larger variety ones... Can you hear your fuel pump come on?!?... Getting spark?!?... Shame to have to take it to the dealer, you have a multimeter right?!?...

I can hear the fuel pump engage. I do not have a multi meter. I think you could be right about a fuse. However, i wouldn't know about one that would keep the car from starting and knock the GPS system out in the nav program. I do now have a fuse chart. I will see if that could be the problem Can't get it to a repair place until the 12th, so I might as well try a few more things first. I might actually get lucky. Thanks for the response.

If it cranks, its not the anti theft system.
You hear the fuel pump, thats good.
Check for spark, based on the above, thats next.
