I hate the taillights, hate the entire front end, the console, the square vents, the door panel inserts, the stripe on the seats (lets just say all of the interior).

I bet there are a bunch of people sportin' wood over the new key (which by they way I also am not fond of).

I keep my S197. Not a big fan of the interior either, but i'm fan of the quality. Have to see it in real but it seems that the material are less cheap than the actual version.

I do have a question!!

Is this mustang still considered part of the S197 platform? I would think it was different as the SN95's were compared to the New Edge stangs....

Very legit question. I have not heard it designated as something different. But then again I have paid very little attention to it period.

only thing i saw on it that i liked so far is the rpm/speedo flipped the opposite way and i think i see a wire run to the rear view mirror which leads me to believe they finally put the auto sensing headlights on ....oh and they put the painted mirror covers on to hide the ugly truck mirrors lmao

Yuck! Hopefully it will grow on me but by the look of it, mostly it's the same but the front end is too small looking. S197 Ftmfw!

EDIT-By staring and looking at it, its not that bad now, I'm actually liking it!!!! But I still want to get an s197, way more affordable for me right now. I cant afford 30 grand in the next few years anyways. I need more HP though. I was expecting at least 350 Hp.

I like it. It looks just like it should. It's an updated version of what we already have. When this one is paid for I will buy the new one.

They fucked up one thing though. 315 hp? WTF! Why? Why not just put the same exact thing the 05 had in it if that's all they are gonna do.

I really like the subtle changes, I need to see it in person though. I will jump all over the 5.0 if it really comes out in 2011.

400 HP Camaro vs 315 HP GT. The v6 Camaro dudes will be racing 2010 Gt's....

I don't think so. Thats what they will look at, horsepower, and leave out the fact they are very heavy. They have to have that much horsepower to move all that weight just like the Challenger.

Yup...and look what our underpowered, cute little stangs do to the Challengers.....

That's where I disagree, The S197 platform was designed to provide a more retro-look. Steeda/Roush/Saleen/Rage/that ugly fucking Italian thing/etc all came along and tried to improve retro-styling with spaceman/euro crap. Anyone want to bet milk money that this car sells no-where near the numbers that the S197's did? And no, I'm not giving points for the current economy...

You know, I'll have to agree with you. The S197 platform set a new standard for cars, specifically going for the retro look. I also don't think that the newer models will come close to the sales the S197 put out either!
