Get a real tune on there before you fuck up your motor.

I ran the same SCT strategy tune in my '11 GT for two years - and made a lot of passes at the track with lots of hard, daily driving - and didn't hurt anything. What's wrong with SCT's strategy tunes? I've never heard of anyone having trouble with them.

On a side note, Bama just sent me some custom tunes for my '14 to raise my shift points to 7,000 rpm's and lock up the converter at WOT a little after each upshift. I'll be trying out their tunes at the track this Friday.

Without getting to in depth with it, The reason why it worked good on your 11 was because the template that was used to build that file was a FXB5 (2011 auto code). LOTS of tables have changed since then, that file does not work well at all with any newer car that does not use the FX series of codes. Not to mention they add 5deg of global spark in that file, Witch is not good.

So you're saying that SCT hasn't created tune files that are specific to the 2014 model with their latest tuners? Just to clarify, I'm not using the same tuner on my '14 that I used on my '11. I bought a brand new tuner for my '14 (my old tuner went with my '11 when I sold it). They both just happen to be SCT's.

The tunes I ordered from Bama are specific to my '14, so I trust their coding will be correct.
