Going to post up as we go, but my good friend has a 2011 5.0 in performance white with a 6spd manual. Currently all stock, but he gave me the money to help hook his car up with um. I am pretty excited, the car stock is pretty fun and quick but nothing compared to what it is about to be. I'm glad i am getting to have a hand in his build, i always wanted to build a new 5.0.. One day..

So far we have ordered

  • Foose Legends (Black) 20x8.5 and 20x10 Nitto 555s (255s and 285s)
  • BC Racing Coilovers
  • Hellion Turbo kit
  • Turbosmart E boost 2 boost controller
  • AEM Wideband gauge
  • GT/CS Front bumper
  • Roush Bar grille
Tomorrow i will sit down with him and see what kind of gauge pod he wants, and order that and a boost gauge. Ordering LCA's and Relocation brackets from BMR since he is local and i only deal with him for suspension parts nowadays... Anyhow, he is aiming for around 6-10lbs, he wants to keep it safe, it will be tuned by Justin @ VMP when we get everything. Currently the car has like 4,000 miles on it, if that so the thing is still brand new. Should be a good build, can't wait to get all the parts in..

Here is a few pictures of mine and his car together at his house, yeah- he has some gay rims on it currently...lol Thank god they will be replaced. American Muscle says i will receive his wheels on 6/22/11 so check back for some pictures.

Everything but the Foose Legends sounds good. They're the modern day Toque Thrust 2...great wheel but good lord they're played out. Sorry if I'm offending anyone, but I love seeing Mustangs with uncommon (yet tasteful) wheel choices.

Yeah that house is incredible. I count 4 garage doors in one picture and want to know what's behind them lol.

Nice build! Is that a g8 holden conversion or an actual holden?

Yeah i feel yah, i duno i guess i am the opposite- i like mustang wheels on a mustang. Sure custom/different wheels look amazing, but we just didn't find something that he really liked..

Should be a fun build for you. He's got a nice ass house btw.
Heck yeah man, we are all stoked. That house is the coolest thing i have ever seen. Absolutely something to die for.

Rofl, yeah man it happens!

American muscle just called me this morning about the turbo kit, they saw that i made 2 large purchases on my debit card and wanted to verify my address, what bank i use and what not.. Funny thing is, i had listed my cellphone as a contact number but they ended up finding my parents house number out and calling them. So it shouldn't be too long for that, AM.com says 5-7 days lead time... The wheels/tires come this wednesday and i got an email for the company i bought the e boost 2 from and that will be here friday. No word on the rest of the stuff.

Your friend just gave you enough money to order stuff like a turbo? lol, nice. How much boost are you guys going to run w/ the turbo? Any plans w/ the motor? or just keeping it stock for now? How much power does your buddy want.

Yup, $10,400 in cash. We went to the bank, put it in my account and started ordering away ;). Talk about a hassle though, the bank teller was asking me all sorts of questions on my occupation.. I've had my account frozen because i put in fat cash and then started spending away. American muscle even called my house to verify my purchases b/c they saw i bought a turbo kit and 20in Foose rims/tires all within a few days from eachother.. It's been a PITA.. Aiming for only 6-10lbs or 550rwhp-600rwhp if the motor can handle it. For now it will be a stock motor, but he is going to build it within the year or so.

stacks of 2k and then the rest of the money is $2400 in 100s. :thumb2:

What's wrong with reading the factory widebands with a aeroforce gauge?

Doh!! Never gave that thought.... Oh well, i got this new AEM Wideband for way cheaper than a Aeroforce gauge. So i guess it is a good thing i forgot lol.
