Hey guys, i need a little help. I purchased my 5.0 back in june. The car has a 2.3L whipple blower and had a bbr 93 octane tune. I ran the car for about a month before throwing a few mods on my own. The car at times, when coming to a stop shuts-off on me, however it fires right back up and drives fine. I upgraded my blower pulley and changed my tune to a 93 octane JDM one hoping that the stalling/shutting off issue is resolved. NO LUCK! My 5.0 shuts off on me every once in a while and starts right back up, anyone experience this? Anyone know the cause/s? Solution perhaps? Any help and tech advise will be appreciated.

Ps: i performed the kam reset and still have the issue. Thanks!

Tune.

Is BBR still in business? Thought they alienated pretty much all of their old customers. I know their name is shit around these parts.

I have no clue if they are still around. I was told a bbr tune was in the car when i purchased it.

I was hoping it was their tune, i switched to a JDM tune and still have the same problem.

It's still in the tune. They may need datalogs in order to adjust it. Have you looked for obvious issues such as vacuum leaks, etc?

Do you know all the mods that were done to the car? It could be a whole lot of things but first guess would be that there is an unaccounted for mod that's messing with the idle air requirements and they aren't being compensated for in the tune.

Yes all the mods, are accounted for. Weird thing is that he car doesn't idle rought before shutting down. It just kills when stopped and fires right back up.

Yes 123mm JLT. Upgraded from a Roush (110mm i believe)

I'm no tuner but I can tell you I had the same issue with 2 of the "best" tuners in the country. My car was tuned on the dyno....I had the same issue. I took it to JPC, they told me they see this very issue a lot with the pd blowers combined with the jlt. They made a few adjustments, never did it again.

Yeah well mine was tuned in 2010 when I believe they were still "learning ". I tried 3 revisions to no avail. I was told by multiple people it had to do with the jlt and the air coming in while stopping, combined with the fact the filter is allowed to move slightly forward and backward....who knows.

0 advantage to running the JLT over the Roush. Personally I would sell the JLT and stick the Roush back on.
