I wouldn't worry about it.

They're using scare tactics.

I'd tell them to suck it, and do a mean burnout of their driveway, screaming "Later, Gay-boy!!!"

Here you go:

@Nick, that would look better in my sig you think?

And guess what.... Clutch is feeling funny!!

Today i was driving the car and when i would shift at higher RPMs the clutch would be a lot harder to push in, and it would stick a little on the way up. Is this normal for a new clutch?

My new clutch is harder to push in at high rpm's also so I'd say it's normal. I haven't had the slow return of the pedal though. To me this newer clutch design is much better than the old clutch. My car shifts like a dream now. The only complaint I have is at lower rpm's the 1st to 2nd gear shift can be notchy at times but anything over 3000 rpm's there is no notchiness at all.

More troubles!

I was going to Ford to get a complimentary inspection yesterday, and i revved the car up at some tool in a v6 camaro revving at me and the clutch dropped to the floor! (i was in neutral when i revved it.) The car would still drive and shift fine its just that the clutch was around 3 inches from the floor and wouldnt go any higher. I had to physically pull the clutch back up to its original position. Then it was back to normal, except for the higher RPM shifting problem when the clutch is hard to push in and sticks on the way up.

Took it to Ford, almost flipped out on them and they said maybe it was an air pocket in the clutch. So they bled the clutch again and the clutch hasnt fell to the floor since.

BUT they found a TSB on something to do with the pedals that is supposed to fix the high RPM shifting problem. The install on that part is rated on less then an hour, so i can wait at Ford for my car to be done. That part should be here in like a week to a week in a half. I will keep everyone updated on what goes on after that.

If you are having the same problem with higher RPM shifting, then take you car to ford, there is an official TSB on it.

good luck

one thing to remember that with most warranty stuff its more so the dealers call than ford corporation. you might ask around your area and see if anyone recommends a cool service writer.

Yea, they replace the pedal assembly with the gt500 one. I can't believe you haven't got that done yet. That will fix your problems on that. The exact same thing happened to me when i was revving up at someone. The clutch stuck to the floor and once the RPM's dropped it shot back up.

When I had to get my trans replaced due to an accident, the Tech told me the that four of the pressure plate bolts were loose and, I think, three more were actually backed out. I had had some shifting issues at high RPM and was going to take it in for that, but then had the accident. So they put the new clutch in and went ahead and replaced the pedal assembly as well. No charge on the clutch or pedal assembly. My car shifts like a sports car should now!

I need to make a better video of me shifting the car. The little bit at the end of my sig video just doesn't do it justice.

****UPDATE****

Went today to get a complimentary inspection at the Ford dealership and to check up on the part order status.

The part should have been here 2.5 weeks ago. So i go in and they have no idea where it is. THE FUCKING TECH DIDNT EVEN ORDER IT!! First he said that when i drove the car with him, i said it was fine. Why would i say it was fine? I told him there was a problem and before i left the dealer we agreed to order the part.

Then he said that the TSB didnt pertain to my build date. It was for cars built after mine. So i said "well theres an updated clutch, so that has to be it." NOPE. THEY GAVE ME THE SAME FUCKING CLUTCH AS BEFORE! Can't wait until this one goes too.

Now i have to go back and argue with them again on Monday and tell them that i need this fucking part to fix the high RPM shifts.

Any suggestions??

^ THE irony in this is that the Service manager is actually related to his family (marriage) so if hes being giving the run around there how would it differ anywhere else? Ford dealers on Long island Suckk

some dealers are just simply better than others is how it would differ. relations be damned.. go where the car will get fixed and the service dept acts in a professional manner.

I'm going back in on Monday to either get it fixed, or rip them a new asshole and burn the place down.
