yeah pressure plate is a bad design. i run an exedy mach 500. i believe it was around $450
Update: I just spoke with my dealer and they told me they might have to replace the clutch assembly, not the pedal, under a TSB that's out for this issue. Has anyone else had their entire clutch replaced because of this problem? I'll keep you guys posted.

If there's a new TSB for this problem then please post the TSB#, as my 2012 Boss 302 also has this issue. It has happened to me attempting to shift at 7400 RPM from 3rd to 4th gear. The clutch pedal hangs near the floor and the clutch remains fully engaged so shifting into 4th gear (or any gear) is impossible. The pedal returned after coasting 4-6 seconds and letting the RPMs drop, after which the clutch operated normal.
I'm hoping this is the least ancient thread on the clutch bad-behavior issue. Is there a newer one, with a TSB number I have missed during my searches?
This evening I experienced the same "or any gear" problem for the first time. Car was built 07-25-2012, it's a 2013. Very disturbing to find yourself pushing and shoving and pulling and coasting.
As you can tell from my signature, I didn't keep my Boss. What a revoltin' development that is! I guess I'll eventually learn to dance with the Ford Customer Like-We-Care folks, or to find the upper limit of shift-able RPM. So far it seems like (what I think is) 6,600. Above that it's pretty certain to hang up in no-gear land.Frank, Still no TSB, sorry. In fact, lately Ford is telling my Boss owner friends that the clutch pedal thing is normal. As you can tell from my signature, I didn't keep my Boss.
