Has anyone heard how the new 5.0s are doing sales wise?? I have yet to see one on the streets.. A buddy in the los angeles area thats always on the road he has only seen two...

you figure in the economy and the 30+K in the price... just curious if they are flying off the showrooms or just sitting there.. guess the gt500 is doing good..

I cant speak for sells per say, but i can say that the 3 local dealerships here around me in the houston area have sold their 5.0s the same day that they have got them in so far.

We've sold quite a few, and have about 4 on the lot currently.

I did see somewhere that the F150 and Mustang are booming right now in sales. Didn't get any figures though.

my local dealer has had a kona blue one for about a week now, and i've been by to try and look at it three times now and not one person has come out and talked to me about it. dont seem like they want to sell it real bad... i did notice the rear tires have sideways groves in it... some one has been playing in the car ha.

also they have two 2011 v6's and 3 2010 v6's.. two of the 2010's are priced higher than the 11's... you would have to be an idiot to pay more for a '10 than an '11. i imagine those will sit there for a while.

Of the 20 dealers I've spoken to in the last few days only 4 have 11 Gt's for sale and 3 of those are converts right around 45k and one is a CS full load 6 speed standard on the lot for 40k Canadian.

Those prices are with employee pricing.

3 Guys I know I have about 6 10 GT500's and nobody has an 11 that isn't sold or on hold.

They are selling really well up here, the V-6's? Pretty much everyone has 3-4 for sale and available.

Fuckers are everywhere.
+1

There are at least 5 in my area and I just saw an '11 GT500 on the way home from work, today. It was black with small black stripes and black wheels (performance upgrade pkg.).

We have 4 5.0's on the lot right now. A bright red California Special, a Kona blue coupe, a black coupe, and a redfire coupe (or whatever the color is called). We just sold a black convert that had the Brembo package, a white coupe, and earlier a Grabber coupe.

As for '11 V6's I haven't kept track, but we've had several.

I work at a big Ford LM dealer near Seattle. We've already sold and delivered 12 new '11 Mustangs, we have 13 of them in stock right now, we have a half dozen more on trains heading our way, and another dozen in the order banks waiting to be built.

Those in stock now at our place include a California Special GT, a pair of Brembo Pkg GT's, several other 5.0's (300A, 400A, and 401A), and a sprinkiling of V6's (MCA, Pony Pkg, Premium, and Deluxe). Interested in one? Click here to see them.

If someone pays over 40k for a mustang GT they have a screw loose.

Only figures on the net I found were from February...

"Enter the 2011 Mustang. Apparently, a 305-horsepower V6 that gets 30 mpg and a 5.0-liter V8 putting out 412 horsepower does wonders for sales. Ford is reporting that three times more 2011 Mustangs have been ordered than 2010 models at this same time last year. In total, 11,000 Mustangs have been ordered since January.

Customers have been particularly taken with the V6 model, which makes up half of all the orders, and the California Special has also fared better than expected, tripling Ford's initial sales projections. Ford says that 41-percent of 2011 Mustang orders have been for the GT model, who will surely enjoy rollin'... in their five-point-ohs, and the remaining nine percent have been for GT500s."

I personally haven't seen many of the 5.0's gettin' around but I'm sure they are out there.. also, on a side note, anyone else see that Ford is limiting production of the new GT500's to "ensure exclusivity"...?
