Ford credit can go fuck themselves. I checked into it to get the extra $1k rebate onmy truck until they wanted to charge 9% interest, which was ridiculous considering my credit score is 784.

You can always do like me. Finance through ford credit to get the rebate, and pay 1 payment. Then refinance through the credit union and get better interest rates.

hey op why not keep your car and build the motor I mean you are buying a new car but the same weak rods and pistons and more debt if you wait a year or so you can pick up a low mile 5.0 for a lot less just look how far 05-10 cars have fallen and not because of the motor or the motor in the 2011 I mean not all mustang owners are car nuts alot buy on a impulse and there is your great deal just be patience after all ( patience equals money )

I was told I had to make atleast 6 payments before I could do that. Not sure how much truth there was to that but I figured interest on 6 payments wouldn't be worth the hassel.

Even though the deal is tempting. I am leaning towards just keeping my car. I know prices will drop in year or so and then I may think of buying a 2011 but I know the modding addiction will just continue.

I concur. I brought the bullitt in for an oil change and talked myself out of going for a test drive...that's how I ended up with bullitt.

No truth whatsoever... I did it that way on my 2008 GT, 2011 GT, and the 2010 F150.

Fucking salesman, it's alright, I don't plan on buying a fucking thing from that dealership again. I took my truck in for warranty work and the service department sucks ever since the old service rep quit. They can't seem to find a trans leak that has oil all the way to the rear of the truck.

You don't have to pay nothing. Not even one payment. On my G8 I had paid two payments. And on my 5.0 I didn't pay one payment. Waited two weeks and USAA let me finance threw them for half the interest. Ford 6.49 USAA 3.49

I would actually get a better rate from Capital One than I would Navy Federal or USAA. Navy Federal and USAA rate was 4.9 and Capital One's rate is 3.29

I kept paying the monthly note along with an extra $100 towards the principal amount. After a year I noticed they were not applying the extra towards the principal amount but were deducting it from my next month's payment. Fought with them for another three months before it was straightened out. A month later when my tax refund showed up I paid it off and told them to fuck off.

I would hate them for that move, also.
Used ford cr. in the late 80's, n.p. back then.
.
to the OP: don't get a 'base', new car, I don't think you even get an oil pressure gauge. GT premium, plus your gearset/whatever. They are very nice to live with then, percentage-wise not too much more $

Judging by pics, I agree about the base vs premium. The base model interior looks very cheap. I would imagine I would have buyers remorse if I went the base mode route.

I have a base car and the interior is very nice in my opinion. The don't like leather, it's just fancy vinyl that you pay extra for. Hot in the summer and cold in the winter. I did want the upgraded stereo but couldn't bring myself to pay the 3500 bucks for the upgrade to premium. BTW, an oil pressure gauge with a "L" and a "H" instead of actual numbers is worthless and might as well be an idiot light.
