Jesus christ, now im worried. Hopefully everything works out ok for me :bs:

I lost my old job and recently got a new one, I only had so much to pay for school, bills, and my car as im a full time med student, bottom line i just couldn't afford paying $465 every month for insurance.
Don't let your bank find out. I didn't insure my GT500 when I bought it. I talked to the bank and told them it would be at my shop which was insured. They agreed and months later changed their mind and tried to back charge me 750 a month for insurance. No claims or anything, car is/was fine. They were just trying to make extra money. IF you can't get it figured, and keep making payments, DO NOT tell the bank. They will flip the loan and raise the interest on you because now you have no collateral.

you my friend are not in a good position... No insurance, Now no car.. Your bank is going to have a field day with you. Be careful The bank is going to probably try and sue you for the amount owed on the car because you had no insurance..

This is not going to end well unfortunately. IF you have any claim with Ford, it will take a long time to work out.

In the meantime, during all of this, you bank will be informed since they own the car and there is an investigation. At that point, they find out you don't have insurance.

You let the insurance lapse for 4 months and the bank never sent you a nastygram threatening to put their comprehensive insurance on it? I get a nastygram almost every time I buy a car even though I'm always insured.

If you're going to take this up with Ford, good luck with that, having a thread mentioning your mods and the fact that you had a custom tune probably isn't a good idea... then again, neither is having an uninsured debt of $27k, so carry on...

Holy shitballs! No insurance? FYL!

It's hard enough to get Ford to pay for a motor on a tuned car, I can only imagine what they'll say now. That'll be a short phone call ending with tears unfortunately.

i think im just going to strangle myself if i don't find a way out of this.

Not sure why this wasn't addressed and I'm not sure if you're being serious or not but...THAT IS NEVER THE ANSWER.

We can give you shit for poor decision making but it is what it is and there's no point beating yourself up over the past that you cannot change. There are much worse things that happen to people and they manage to make it through. I think I speak for most, if not all, of us on this forum that such a permanent solution should never be applied to such a temporary problem.

Good to know you can approach it with somewhat of a lighthearted approach, for as heavy of a subject this is. Best of luck and do keep us updated. Let us know if there's anything we can help with.

Did you have suicide prevention training recently? lol

To the op best of luck, hope it all works out, in spite of how bleak it looks.

I assume this was at a apartment or town house of some sort that you rent? Anyway their insurance would cover it??

Good luck with getting it taken care of. Wonder if something being plugged in to the cig lighter had anything to do with it?

dont worry.. your not the only one to do not so bright things. I took full coverage insurance off (liability on) my car, because:

1) after 20 years of driving I never "caused" an accident
2) car was paid off
3) it was a weekend, once in a while driving car
4) wanted to save money

3 months later...

IMG_0084.jpg

on a hwy driving speed limit going straight.. car instantly spins out of control going over a bridge section.. no one else involved.. aka.. I was fucked..

ending blowing 15K for another car..

if you have no insurance maybe another thing that would be a very far reach is to see what type of coverage they have at that housing complex. Is that parking lot on their privet property?

lol nope! Never have. It just struck me as something that was seriously overlooked in the replies so I thought someone should say it just in case you know? Plus, I've already thought the whole thing through. Even if the worst stuff happened to me, I would never kill myself because no matter what, I will always have the will to live if only to exact my revenge on those who I feel are responsible (or simply people I don't like). Bottom line: hey, I would have nothing to lose so what can't I live for?

Apartment nor condo insurance will pay for it, If your car is in your garage and it burns down, your home owners will not pay for the car, because you are required to have auto insurance, I can't believe his MVA did not cancel his tags.
