ROI...risk managment...Process analysis
Dammit man, I come here to get AWAY from work. :sigh1:

jewc75...It is impressive how calm and professional you have been through this. I have to admit, I would be stuggling to contain myself by now. Very classy on your part.

always good to run across another process/solutions/project manager dork

I feel confident it will all work out in the end for you. I know you probably have that pit in your stomach feeling going on right now but try not to worry about it too much. Like others have said it's just a car and they make new ones everyday.

Keep us posted Jookie. I'm sure they will try to play games, but they know they have to fix it. Stay strong and patient dude, it will work out.

No, the dealer will not open the motor. They will replace it and send jewc's current motor to Ford corporate for the engineers to tear into. When warranty work this expensive happens, the defective parts almost always end up with the engineers.

I still think this is being caused by a tolerance issue. ~1% or so of all motors have one or two tolerances just a little off, and BOOM goes the #8.

it's most likely more than a few tolerances. Laws of reliability engineering :D

I'm confident it'll all work out. FORD is not out to screw you. You've held up to your end of keeping the car stock. Warranty will be your friend!

Not that it matters now but I would have removed the JLT catch can before it went in.. Don't need to give them any excuse not to cover it under warranty.. Ill bet they will try to say that why your have an oil consumption issue and you now ruined the engine because of this aftermarket product.. But I hope not..
