Took me 10 grand in mods to run 11.50s. Can't help but wonder what I'd be running if my '06 had come with the 5.0

I ran 12.6@113 with a tune, and sticky tires. Got a CAI ran 12.5@114 I think (I forget lol)

Got a E85 tune, pulled the CAI and put the stocker back on with a K&N drop in, LCA's Eibach springs, reloc brackets, weld race stars and a 26" tall tire, ran 12.2@114 w/a 1.8 60ft

Now I have a O/R x-pipe, JLT CAI, BOSS intake, mufflers, solid UCA, adjustable LCA's, the eibach springs, the fatties and skinnies, 26" tall tire, E85 tune. Hoping to get into the high 11's N/A after it gets a new E85 Dyno tune. Car has 3:31 gears, might switch to 3:55 gears and a 28" tall rear tire so my ratio AT the rear tire is around 3:90 to get full use of the BOSS intake manifold.

Not telling you what to do but if you are gonna go with a 28" tall tire you will want a 3.73 gear minimum and a 3.90 gear would be optimal. :thumb:

Im hear for opinions man..lol

I used a gear calculator and thats how I came up w/ the 3.55's and the 28" tall tire would give me a 3.87 is that not true?

I have a 2012 base 6M w/ 3.73's
I have the same problem with running out of 4th before finishing the 1/4. I tried going into 5th and mph dropped for me. The best way for me is to let 4th hit the rev and coast the rest. On a good prepped track in Jan. (good weather) I went 12.28 only at 110mph. That was a 1.83 60'. 89.8 mph in the 1/8th. 113mph is a normal for me while hitting off the rev and coasting.
I borrowed a set of 28" slicks and skinnies for the front and went 11.90 @ 117.8 mph. 60' was 1.65. The only mod to my car is I took the mufflers off and ran pipe in its place and I removed the spare tire and jack assembly.
I have just got my Racestars in with 28" DR's and cant weight to get back to the track and see how these do.
These 5.0's are very fast and impressive for off the showroom floor.
I just want ya'll to know what they are capable of.
