So having taken my car twice to the track once stock and once with a tune and both times being able to do no better than a 2.04 60' with ZERO wheel spin on a 235/50/18 all season tire im beginning to wonder if there isn't a nanny designed to keep these cars from producing any power off idle. Even on the street the car has very little instant torque when the vertical pedal is put to the wood...the car just rolls out 5-10' then breaks the tires loose.

I have never driven a V8 or even a 3.0L or bigger V6 that would'nt apply enough torque off idle to turn its tires. What are your experiences/opinions with these cars? And yes I know about Brake over Accelerator Override and how it works. That alone should not be causing this issue.

And dont even get me started on "Sport Shift" it is so unresponsive to your inputs that is completely useless in a WOT situation.

This was my best of 2 Passes with a Bama 93R tune and JLT cai 1100' DA

same 2.06 60' as I got untuned with no wheelspin at all

Are you turning the TC off all the way-foot on the brake and hold TC for at least 5 seconds to turn ALL the electronics off?

There isn't anything wrong with your car. The best n/a auto sixty foot I have ever seen with the stock converter was 1.87 on a drag radial and negative DA. These n/a auto cars just don't 60 foot well with the stock converter. You might bring that 60 foot down just a little by bringing the car up on the converter when launching but with the stock tires then you risk wheel spin.

It is the converter. Launching at 1500rpm or less when the car doesn't make power until 4500+ is going to kill 60's.

My best, pre-CircleD was 1.82. That's foot braking it to 1800-1900 (just before it starts to turn the tires).

OP, I've read that you can't get away from the Advance Trac system on the '13s. Some people have said that it doesn't shut off completely on the stock tune.

2013's have Brake over Accelerator override , its a totally different system that was introduced by Toyota after a bunch of Prius owners reported that their accelerators got stuck and they ran people over. It makes it basically impossible to load the converter up. Dont know if a tune can disable it.

I had someone PM me asking a question about the accelrator over ride. I hadn't heard of it and I never noticed it on my 13. I can stall it up to around 2k. I had the same tune you are running. I didn't leave it untuned long but I never noticed it stock either. I have pulled a best of a 1.86 on stock tires with just a tune. Average though was mid 1.9s. Just takes some good air, good track prep and a proper burnout.

Are you running the 1/4 in the sport shift mode and letting the pcm control the shifts?

You don't have to shift the tranny using the toggle in sport shift mode... it will shift for you...

I put a file together for a 2013 yesterday, first one I've done. The car doesn't act any different than a 11-12, no problem foot braking it up to 1700 or so before it spins the stock tires.

Just a x/catback, rear wheel/tire, & tune car. We'll see what it does at the track this weekend. 11.8ish I'd guess.

Do you know why on some tuned cars there is a dead spot when punching it from say 30-40 mph? Its like the car just dies and then you let the foot off the gas and reaccelerate and its fine.

Wouldn't know, I've just done this one, road tested getting the shift points dialed in and we were doing kickdowns to 1st gear, it didn't do that, it just blew the tires off.

I have seen other posts on SVT it also happens with 11-12 tuned cars. Do you send out e mail tunes or do you not have the capabilities to do this?

Well there are plenty of reasons that place is known as the "short bus forum". No email, I only tune cars for people I know personally.
