And still Waaaaaaaaaay over priced IMHO. The Recaro’s look cool and offer a little more lateral support but they are in no way a “track seat”. Even if you are going relatively slow. For the same money that the Recaro option costs you can get some fantastic seats (or seat, you only really need one for the track. Make the passenger hold on).
Granted if you go with anything but the OEM seats you will loose the air bags though.
As far as the suspension goes the Track Pack/Brembo/BOSS stuff is only ho hum out of the box. Good for “spirited” street driving but nowhere near what is needed for even slow laps at the track. And if you put more aggressive tires on the car (which you will need for the track) then the suspension will be even less up to the task.
How is it overpriced, if its included in the TP. Forget about the struts/springs, everything else you get in the TP is a bargain. And under a full factory warranty. I'm not sure, but not having airbags is probably frowned upon by the insurance companies. So the recaros are the best option for a car that will be driven on the street.
my understanding is they are not compatible with the 2005-10 cars? The factory Recaros in the Mustangs and the Ford Racing Recaros have the side airbags.
