Look at the spokes on the wheels in the pic of the aston martin then look at the "drawing" of the 2015 mustang. Photoshop much?

Yep, it is clearly an Aston Martin gone through a shitty Photoshop filter. And with the headlights tweaked. Regardless, all signs point to a hybrid of an Aston Martin and the current Mustang. I will reserve judgement until Ford shows off the actual car.

That rendering looks like someone just took a Taurus and chopped off the two back doors.

God I hope not... looks like the Fusions 2-Door brother. Last thing we need is to have two cars (one performance and one not) look very similar... makes me think of Geo Storm and Chevy Camaro from the same era...

This.

once upon a time the mustangs structure was the same structure for like 20 other cars.

ever seen a 4dr stang?
ever seen how many mustang parts fit a T-bird, mark VIII, or a zephyr?

fox body = Mr Potatoe head

I hope they don't return to that. fox bodies were cool but I like to think of my stang as a totally unique car.

Unique chassis are expensive. Chassis that can serve as the basis for several different cars defrays the cost which helps keep the car we really want a little cheaper. There is a benefit to sharing major chassis components.

If the new Mustang chassis spawns a rear drive sport sedan for Ford and Lincoln, that also doubles as a police cruiser, I'm down with that.

I recant some of my former statement, if they made a linclon with mustang underpinings with gt500 level performance I might be down with that.
