Are there really people here interested in getting a 2015 4 cylinder eco boost Mustang with an automatic and paddle shifters? Jesus tits.

I give my buddy so much shit for having a 6 in his '11 convertible. Now a 4? Do you realize that this is a Mustang?

Forgetting the SVO turbos are we?

A four cylinder turbo will be the lightest, best handling package in the line up and believe it or not a 2.3 turbo can make very good power as evidenced by it's factory 300hp rating.

The 5.0 will still rule the drag strip but the 2.3 should be quite a fun package in it's own right.

I could be wrong but I believe the base Mustangs with the fours and sixes have always outsold the V8 models so there most certainly is a market for them.

The ricers will love the 2.3 turbo. The first time I hear a ricer with a bov on his 2015 Stang, I'm throwing a tire iron at his head

My wife has 4 CyL Turbo in a Audi TT Roadster
She likes it, and get's 33 on the highway and 26 running around town
Its quick (For Her) Plus she has a Lead Foot

Im looking to replace it and was leaning to a 5.0 Vert
But this may just make a good replacement for her

So I believe there will be market for the 4 CYL Turbo.
But I doubt I put a BOV on it

I too, am looking forward to seeing the performance potential of the 4 cylinder turbo. Anyone hating on it needs to recall (or if you don't remember it, google it) the mid 80's Mustang SVO. Don't be so close minded people!!!!

And remember, high volume sales of the base 6 cylinder Stangs make it financially possible for Ford to build cars like the GT500.

Awwww shit.

I like the 4cyl model. If you've driven an ecoboost engine you will know the car will be fun. They are very peppy and respond great.

I haven't driven a new ecoboost yet but I'm actually very familiar with turbo4bangers. I have 2 SVO mustangs. That's why my screen name is s8v4o = 84 SVO.

The eco 4 will be cool. It already has close to the same numbers as the 3V but will be roughly 200-250 lbs lighter right from the get go. Forced induction engines always respond better to mods than their N/A equivalent. I can see the this little motor climbing to 350RWHP or more with relative ease with mostly stock parts. Actually I see people maxing the turbo and or fuel system out before anything. I'm curious on the specs for the turbo that will be on that motor. Those specs will tell us a lot on how much HP we can squeeze out of an otherwise factory engine. Only time will tell.

So I believe there will be market for the 4 CYL Turbo.

It will more than likely already have one on there.

4 cylinder Mustang. Who cares how fast it is, IT'S A FOUR CYLINDER!!!! Are we still driving Mustangs or did we all of the sudden make the move to WRX's and EVO's?

Just get with the fact that the Mustang will have a four cylinder capable of comparable or better numbers than a 3 valve. If you don't like it than shut the fuck up.

Again, I don't care what kind of power it makes. There are a lot of guys out there with Honda Civics making 600+ hp. Do I want one? HELL NO!!!

You're totally missing the point, the four is not for everyone but then neither is the V8.

That's why we have options. :)

Personally I'd have the 5.0 but I still respect the 2.3 and once they're out there and people start modding I guarantee that plenty of 5.0 cars are going to find themselves looking at the tail lights of modded 2.3s on road courses and drag strips.

Flintlocks...biplane fighters...rotary-dial phones? Technology ruined those, just like the Mustang. Geez. Unless I've been living under a rock, I do believe a V-8 Mustang is still available? Didn't the 1965 Mustang have a 6-cylinder option? If it hadn't been for that stupid inline 6, the Mustang would be celebrating it's 100th anniversary today. I guess I just don't get the despair over non-V8 mustangs. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but if it weren't for the sales of non-V8 Stangs, there probably would be no V8 mustang today. Flame on!

Now, now, there's already lots of Mustangs out there with BOVs.

Most just happen to have a matched set. :)

You can still buy a V8 if you have penis envy. Nobody is making anybody buy a 4 banger.

Personally I would take a TT 3.5 ECO over the 5.0.
