I want to drive one, but I'm afraid I'll want to buy it. At the same time I want to drive one for a couple days to see if the novelty will wear off.

Wish you could get it in Ruby Red or I'd been sold on a RR GT350R already.

I've been on the street with them. The novelty would wear out fast for me. I would rather drive our blown S550 GT.

But on the track................................:Rock on:

My issue is - I basically have two GT500's and really miss N/A power; working to build up speed is a little more fulfilling (in certain aspects). I love a blown car for high speed runs up and down the street, but I have a lot of twisty roads and its just not fun like a Boss 302 is.

Taking it to the track? I don't have an answer for that. I barely have time to make myself breakfast on most days. But if I can enhance my 3 mile commute just a little better, no matter if it is a Sunday or a Wednesday... well that could take a shitty day and put a smile back on my face. lol

All the reason I would not go R and likely get the electonics package.

I was hoping for Ruby Red too, which is why I was eyeing the CO (not a big fan of Race Red). Since they had a CO Mustang at Ford Fun last weekend, I think I'm sold on that color. Definitely looks good with the black stripes that I have been seeing in reviews.

Why can't we embed facebook videos yet?

Shaggy !!!!!

Because fagbook is gay!!!!

And that video was fucking horrible!!!!:wtf1: What marketing moron came up with that?

Marketing genius:

"I have an idea, let's make a GT350R video at the track that doesn't show any fast driving, sliding, etc and have some dude from a band that was popular 40,000 years ago sit in the passenger seat and sing along to his own song!!!!!"

Intern sitting in the corner:

"But sir, the GT350R is one of the best sounding cars made. Maybe we should play that up?"

Marketing genius:

"Shut up kid, get me some coffee!"

Intern sitting in the corner:

"Sir, didn't we have a commercial for the Taurus with Carl Edwards driving completely sideways with all sorts of tire smoke. We should do something like that for our RACE CAR"

Marketing genius:

"Kid, you're really getting on my nerves. I get paid the big bucks to come up with this stuff and you're in your 3rd year of school. How about you let the grown ups make the big decisions? Now get my FUCKING COFFEE!"

You mirrored my thoughts exactly. Make the sleeper family sedan go around a track in a hoonigan fashion while the purpose-built race car drives around listening to a song majority of millennials have no clue about.

How many millenials come in buying $60k+ cars?

Don't most come in and drive out in a Focus?

I think the video/commercial is playing it up to the 40+ year olds that are most likely to remember the old car and more likely to be able to afford the new one.

They are buying one anyway. Better to attract more/different buys.

I'm 40+ and it hurt my brain. If they are targeting me, the missed.

And even if that wasn't the case, it was GAF.

I think showing them singing in the car kills the vid. The song is fine and usually a good "driving" song. The vid needed more external shots and tire shredding

Someone at Ford needs to get a pink slip for this trainwreck... Put a 1970's/80's singer with a Nascar driver in a road course car? Would have made more sense if it was cookie monster and Betty White? If they wanted some form of "Star" power for the car put someone who actually races... there are lots of movie/tv starts that race cars.

No one younger than 40 knows who Foreigners lead singer is and if they recognized the song seeing him sing it just ruined it. And who the hell is Greg Biffle? I don't watch Nascar but if he has been around 14 years and won 19 times I should have heard of him before... right? One of Fords WORST commercials ever.

I guess Ford doesn't know who the REAL lead singer of Foreigner is(was) either. The guy in the video has only been with Foreigner since 2005 (I did have to look that up). Lou Gramm was the original lead singer, and the voice in the song playing on the radio. So really, this video is a multi-level fail.

Side note: although Greg Biffle hasn't done much in the last couple of years, not too long ago, he was a pretty consistent front runner in the Sprint Cup series. He may not be another Jimmie Johnson, but he's a good driver. That being said, I'd rather have seen Brad Keselowski doing the driving.

As a whole, not many, considering their market strategies for Fiesta, Focus, Escape, and Mustang.

Majority of my 2013-14 GT500's were sold to guys under 25-years old, including myself. Two of them were 18-yrs old.

3 out of my 7 GT350's are pre-sold to guys under 21.
