I'm looking to buy some 3" wheel studs. So I searched here a bit and see that everyone is talking about ARP and FRPP studs. So I googled for part numbers...

WTF, $65-90/set?

Are they forged from unicorn horns and angel's tears?

Can someone tell me how they are different from Moroso, Jegs, and Strange sets?

I bought ARP studs, I have heard some bad things about moroso. I'm guessing jegs has theres made by a name company maybe you can check and see who makes theres. I know for a fact I've seen 2 sets of morosos snap at the track. My ARPs went right in with a air gun and a old lugnut.

buy them from currie enterprises. they're cheap. i'll look for a link....btw, it takes about a .609 knurl on the rear axles. i tried the .614 moroso studs, and they wouldn't work w/o drilling the axles. i found the currie's, and they're great.

i think these are the ones i used, but they don't list the knurl size

Rehagen Racing sells the Ford race stud kits. I am pretty sure they are ARP studs in a Ford box. Make sure some kits are listed as 5 pieces some as 10. Rehagen is where I got mine.

I have the ARP front ones, and the Currie rear ones, being as i have a currie 9" rear. The currie ones are rusting abit. The ARP ones look as good as the day i removed them from the package. Im sure its jsut surface rust on the curries, and at their price, you cant beat it

As you were saying, they're a little pricey... Rehagen Racing are doing ARP's $99 for 10 (rear)

Having said that, it's not something that I'd want to go cheap on!

if you dont want to see any rust, go ARP, if you dont mind a little rust, go Currie and save a few bucks
